Popular Turks and Caicos Resort to Receive US$2.5 million Re-Vamp

The Comfort Suites Ports of Call Resort in Providenciales is set to undergo major refurbishments costing approximately US$2.5 million over the next 12 months. Travellers taking Turks and Caicos holidays will benefit from upgraded rooms and facilities.

Travellers taking Turks and Caicos holidays to one of the region’s most popular hotels will be seeing a number of changes happening over the next year as the Comfort Suites Ports of Call Resort in Providenciales gets ready for US$2.5 million worth of renovations.

Dan Papke, owner of the real estate company which has recently acquired the resort, announced the planned refurbishments of one of the most visited Turks and Caicos hotels and resorts.

"I am excited. The island itself is starting to get on the radar, our renovations have begun, and we look forward to re-positioning the resort as the premier value-priced resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands," he said.

Renovations to the hotel will include the refurbishing of all 98 rooms, plus upgrades and changes made to public areas such as the lobby, bar areas, hallways and the breakfast room.

The rooms and suites will feature new larger televisions, modern safety deposit boxes, and balcony furniture. Guests taking holidays to Turks and Caicos will be able to enjoy a new eight-person hot tub, fully-equipped fitness centre, a children’s play area, and hourly shuttles which will take them down to the beautiful Grace Bay beach.

Papke added: “Guests will have the choice of walking 300 yards or being shuttled to and from the beach or staying at the resort and enjoying the incredible landscaping of the property, the courtyard pool setting or the quaint shops."

Papke’s real estate company has also recently acquired the Ports of Call Shopping Village. Located close to the Comfort Suites, Ports of Call Resort and plans have been announced to extend the hotel’s services and offerings to include the variety of restaurants, bars and shops that are available within the 18,000 square-foot plaza.

Once the hotel’s renovations have been completed, tourists going on Turks and Caicos holidays will be able to enjoy trendy and fresh surroundings and facilities including clothing stores, onsite restaurants, bars, a hairdresser, an ice cream shops, gift shops, lavish spa, and a dive shop.

The Comfort Suites Ports of Call Resort is situated on the tropical Caribbean island of Providenciales and is surrounded by lush tropical gardens. During holidays in Turks and Caicos, tourists will be able to experience breathtaking natural scenery including the famous Grace Bay beach with its rolling sand dunes; the Princess Alexandra National Park with 13 miles of pristine sandy beaches fringed with turquoise waters; and the huge, naturally-formed limestone opening called The Hole.
