President Fernandez cuts ribbon on multi-million dollar resort in Las Terrenas
Last month, President Leonel Fernandez cut the ribbon for the first stage of the US$220 million tourism real estate project, Balcones del Atlantico; a development which will provide residential units and a hotel for luxury Dominican Republic holidays.
Travellers planning holidays in the Dominican Republic will soon be able to enjoy the ultimate luxury experience as the ribbon for the first stage of the tourism real estate development, Balcones del Atlantico (Balcony to the Atlantic), was cut by Dom Rep's President Leonel Fernandez last month.
The ceremony included the ground-breaking for the luxury hotel’s second stage which is part of a tourism real estate project costing US$220 million in Las Terrenas; in the province of Samana, situated in the northeast of the Dominican Republic.
The development is being constructed by the Bisono Group and the ceremony was attended by the president of Balcones del Atlantico, Maximo Bisono, as well as Paul Toner and Mark Jeffrey; President and Vice-President of RockResorts, the resort’s management company.
Tourists going on holidays to the Dominican Republic will be able to relax amid tropical surroundings at Balcones del Atlantico, which also comprises a private white sand beach stretching over a kilometre of the coast.
The resort is surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes including lush rainforests and cascading waterfalls, set against the magnificent backdrop of the sparkling turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea where guests can enjoy whale-watching during their Dominican Republic holidays in Samana.
This latest addition to luxury Dominican Republic hotels features 86 multi-room villa suites which all boast private furnished terraces with views of the ocean as well as separate living areas, hand-carved wooded furnishings, polished granite and coral tiles, and modern amenities including flat-screen TVs, DVD players, air conditioning, wireless Internet, fully-equipped kitchens, and bathrooms with Balinese hand-mulled stone basins.
