Dominican Republic is the Fastest Growing Golf Destination in the World

The first edition of the Dominican Republic Golf Courses publication or "Campos de Golf de Republica Dominicana" has been printed and proves that the Caribbean island nation is one of the fastest growing destinations for golfing activities in the world.

The new 202 page-publication highlights some of the best golf courses for golf players taking holidays in the Dominican Republic.

The courses have been created by world-class designers including Pete Dye’s three links in Casa de Campo and Las Aromas in Santiago; Robert Trent Jones’s Playa Dorada and Playa Grand; Gary Player’s Guavaberry; Tom Fazio’s Corales; P.B. Dye’s La Cana, La Estancia, Iberostate and remodelled Barceló golf in Bávaro; José (Pepe) Gancedo’s Cocotal and White Sands; Nick Faldo’s Roco Ki; Nick Price’s Punta Blanca; and Jack Nicklaus Punta Espada in Cap Cana and Cana Bay Palace.

Juan Cohen, Carlos Lizarazo and Ianir Drori worked hard on the publication to ensure it adds value to the Dominican Republic’s holiday industry and golf sectors and boosts its reputation as a family oriented destination for Caribbean holidays.

The Dominican Republic occupies the eastern two thirds of the island of Hispaniola, shared the island with the bordering country of Haiti. New golf course projects and refurbishments are currently underway throughout a number of Dominican Republic hotels and resorts across this sunny Caribbean island nation.
