Luxury Kenya safari lodge to open in August

The Safari Collection has announced that their latest property will be open to guests from 1st August 2010 where they can enjoy luxury accommodation and a Kenya safari during their break.

The new luxury safari lodge is situated on the Solio Game Reserve between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains and has just six rooms, creating a friendly and personal experience for travellers on Kenya holidays.

Guests staying at the luxury lodge will have the chance to experience some of the country's finest mammals, species and landscape with a Kenya safari. Travellers can enjoy horseback riding, trout fishing and helicopter flights during their time in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

The private Solio Game Ranch is home to one of the most successful rhinoceros breeding reserves in Kenya with 74 Black Rhinoceros and 155 White Rhinoceros. The magnificent species live in harmony with an abundance of wildlife including zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and buffalos.

As well as luxury safaris, visitors can relax within tranquil and cosy surroundings in a lodge comprising contemporary and traditional design, thatch roofs and hospitable service.

Each of the six cottage style accommodations has a large living area with an open fire, large bathrooms with double sinks, large glass pane windows, and a private decking area with panoramic views looking out across Mount Kenya.

The new property is said to be the most luxurious of the Safari Collection of lodges and camps and will offer fine cuisine and personal hosting for its guests.

Safari Collection specialise in providing travellers with a unique experience during their holidays in East Africa. Visitors can choose from a standard Kenya safari where they will witness an array of spectacular species up close, or a more luxurious SpaSaab Safari where they will indulge and enjoy a range of natural rejuvenating treatments with the help of Liz Earle skin therapy and professional therapists.

Travellers looking for a more action-packed Kenya safari can witness the migration of a number of animals and wildebeest who will head north from Tanzania in June and cross the Kenyan border in July, bringing with them their new offspring.
