50% more Middle Eastern travellers taking Sri Lanka holidays
Middle Eastern travellers have become more and more interested in Sri Lanka as the ideal holiday destination for exotic beaches and uncrowded, paradisiacal surroundings. Sri Lanka holidays are the destination of choice for Arab sun-and-sea-seekers
It has been revealed by a Middle Eastern website that an increasing number of tourists from the Middle East region have increasingly become more interested in Sri Lanka holidays with a significant increase of 50% more Middle Eastern tourists heading to Sri Lanka in search of an exotic location with plenty of sunshine and clean, sparkling, unspoilt and uncrowded beaches.
Sri Lanka as a holiday destination reported a major influx of Arab travellers as Middle East tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka holidays increased by a whopping 50% in January, 2010 compared to the same period last year. These figures were compiled by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority and announced by the Middle East office of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Board (SLTPB).
For the sun-sea-and-sand enthusiast, Sri Lanka holidays offers Arab travellers with unbeatable value. Due to its location along the equatorial zone, the region enjoys a tropical climate that varies according to the region and the season. Summer temperatures range between a warm and comfortable 24 to 26 degrees Celsius with sunny, blue skies being virtually always guaranteed.
