The Grenada Board of Tourism met with UK representatives last week at an informal forum in a bid to build and strengthen relationships with representatives from Grenada holidays industries and to outline proposals for the future of tourism in the region.

The team of UK-based representatives from accommodation companies on the Caribbean island was headed by Director, Sharon Bernstein, and plans and strategies were discussed in order to build partnerships with Grenada Board of Tourism ahead of the Unite Caribbean event next month which will be held in London.

Grenada is expected to unveil its portfolio of activity at next month’s event and will provide attendees with details about future partnerships with tour operators and travel agents.

Bernstein said:

“Our strategy is a response to changing buying patterns and will include investment in the bridal and dive markets which we believe set Grenada apart. Regular representatives’ forums and improved communications will help ensure we work as one team to market these key areas, as well as Grenada’s flora and fauna, sporting events and cruise tourism.”

Grenada is situated northwest of Trinidad and Tobago and is a popular destination for travellers taking Caribbean holidays.

Tourism is the main economic source in Grenada and the island offers wealth of luxury Grenada hotels and resort for travellers seeking luxury holidays.

Spice Island is a popular destination for travellers looking for a luxurious experience on their Grenada holidays and St John and St David regions provide environmentally friendly tourists with eco-friendly accommodation during their stay.

Grenada is the largest of seven islands in the Grenadines and boasts miles of pristine white sandy beaches, a bustling capital city, St Georges, warm tropical climate, and breathtaking scenery comprising mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and lush green hills.

Tourists on Grenada holidays can enjoy a range of activities on and off the island including diving trips, sailing, boat excursions, kayaking, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, and exploring nature reserves and botanical gardens.

The island’s stunning scenery and secluded beaches make it a great place for romantic escapes, honeymoons or Caribbean weddings.
