A newly opened Kenya hotel has already welcomed celebrity guests such as Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie providing them with chic architecture, contemporary design and luxurious accommodation set within Kenya's stunning surroundings.

Kenya hotel brings contemporary style to Nairobi

Located in the heart of the Village Market and the beautiful region of Nairobi, this property stands out from the usual hotels in Kenya and offers guests on luxury Kenya holidays a five-star experience within contemporary and unique surroundings.

The Kenya hotel, named Tribe, offers guests spacious accommodation full of sleek and stylish decor and modern pieces of art combined with natural African sculptures.

Despite being open to guests for just two months, Tribe has already played host to a number of high profile actresses and musicians including Wyclef Jean as he arrived in the region for the MTV Africa Music Awards in October this year.

The brain behind the stylish property is architect, Mehraz Ehsani, who believes that surprise and asymmetry makes up the unusual appearance of the new Kenya hotel.

The rooms, which all slightly differ from each other, range from luxury junior suites, to flashy penthouses and impressive presidential suites. They all sport dark wooden floors, sandstone walls and a selection of African artwork along with the standard luxury items which automatically come with a five-star property such as free Wi-Fi, DVD players, and large plasma TV screens.

Guests staying at the authentic yet exclusive Kenya hotel can witness the combination or traditional African artwork and modern style as soon as they enter the foyer. Next to wicker loungers sit sofas that are so tall they turn into pods, all designed by a local artist. Chrome bauble chandeliers hang high and polished granite stairs lead guests to their comfortable rooms.

Tribe has an impressive library with over 2,800 books and a "chill-out" room with 300 choices of DVDs. Guests can relax on the roof top terrace at the open air cocktail bar or Shisha lounge, or taste the delights of the fine cuisine at the hotel's gourmet restaurant.
Still a work in progress, the Kenya hotel plans to open a conference room, hair studio, fitness suite, and Kaya Spa with seven different Thai treatment rooms in the early months of 2010.
