Jade Mountain walked away with the first ever GAVA Gold Award at the inaugural award ceremony held at the Palm Hotel in Las Vegas last 15th November 2009. The hotel was also chosen as the cover of the book published in celebration of the award winners
What is probably the most outstanding of St Lucia hotels with what has been declared as the world’s most amazing infinity pool, just walked away with the first ever GAVA Gold Award at the inaugural award ceremony, held at the Palm Hotel in Las Vegas last 15th November 2009.
These GAVA awards stand for “Global AquaTekture Visionary Awards” and they celebrate the innovative spirit of artisans and architects from every corner of the globe, praising them on their artistic concepts across varying cultures, environments and philosophical aspects.
Coming in categories of Gold, Silver and Bronze, awards were presented to 39 outstanding projects by architects, contractors, homebuilders, pool builders, artists and landscape architects from across the globe with the ceremony being hosted by international TV star and host John Daly of REAL TV, who was here as the Master of Ceremonies.
Entries and nominated properties and projects were judged on their aesthetic beauty as well as how each exemplified the objectives of the projects, praising designs that exhibited original and diverse concepts that demonstrate respect for environmental, cultural, philosophical and /or historical components. On this basis St Lucia’s Jade Mountain scored high as it was constructed from local materials by local builders and the entire compound is focused on the native indigenous, organic and natural charm of the island, bringing international guests with a real and genuine St Lucian touch during the most authentic St Lucia holidays imaginable.
Judges from several design disciplines rated nominees on atypical designs and innovative applications that surpassed the boundaries of traditional water feature solutions.
This time around it was turn for St Lucia holidays to be celebrated on behalf of its most exceptional hotel with the world’s most famed and astounding infinity pool: the hill-topping Jade Mountain beautifully located atop a lush mountain and surrounded by the most spectacular views of the country’s famous twin peaks. This rare and exotic luxury hotel, owned and managed by the same couple who own the beloved Anse Chastanet Resort (another favourite for St Lucia holidays) is one of those precious rare St Lucia hotels where it is near impossible to take a bad picture, with all the rooms showcasing unparalleled views of St Lucia’s twin Piton mountains and all featuring amazing infinity pool.
Having already won this year’s Travel + Leisure’s Best Caribbean Resort 2009, it’s no surprise the Jade Mountain keeps on scooping awards that praise its astonishing exceptionality and unique architecture that makes it stand out not only from St Lucia hotels but from worldwide luxury resorts.
