Travellers planning trips to Africa in the near future can add Zanzibar to their list of hotspots as the African island sees a significant increase in bookings of Zanzibar holidays, making it the latest up and coming travel destination.

Zanzibar holidays unveiled as latest Tourist Hotspot

Travel agents are advised to be prepared for a rise in Zanzibar holidays in the near future as the destination is predicted to grow as a tourist hotspot.

Louise Newton from Somak Holidays said:

"We are up around 25% year on year without needing to push it hard," she said. "The challenge is trying to find enough beds for all the people who want to go. Its popularity is growing incredibly fast as a good alternative to the Maldives or the Seychelles. But while we might ordinarily say prices are going to be the same next year we can't do that because people in Zanzibar are noticing the extraordinary demand and are likely to try to cash in by raising prices."

Tanzania holidays have been amongst some of the most popular holidays in African region for some time but now it seems that the number of people taking holidays in Zanzibar is looking to rise fairly quickly.

Part of the United Republic of Tanzania in East Africa, Zanzibar is semi-autonomous and located in the Indian Ocean just 25 miles off the Tanzanian mainland coast.

The stunning sandy beaches, coral reefs and historic stone architecture from the ancient city, provides a wealth of activities for travellers on Zanzibar holidays to take part it, from scuba diving and experiencing the exquisite wildlife, to attending the famous Zanzibar International Film Festival.

The moderate all year round climate and beautiful surroundings offer visitors an excuse to take a relaxing break at any time, but as the news is unveiled it will only be a matter of time before travel agents, hoteliers and tourism companies starting cashing in on the existence of this natural African island.
