Aloft Debut in the Middle East with New Abu Dhabi hotel
Starwood's latest destination sensation brand of 'Aloft' hotels has just announced the opening debut of the Aloft Abu Dhabi hotel, the first Aloft to open in the Middle East and the second to open outside North America.
The latest of Abu Dhabi hotels to open soon will belong to Starwood’s new ‘Aloft’ sensation sub-brand and will be the company’s first debut hotel of this kind in the Middle East and the second to be opening outside of North America.

10 years after Starwood Hotels & Resorts shook up the hotel industry with the launch of W Hotels, the innovative hotel giant has once again reinvented itself and the world of hotel design with the debut of its latest brand of Aloft Hotels. Delivering urban-influenced, modern and vibrant design and an energetic guest experience at an affordable price point, Aloft hotels offers the traveller with modernity and affordability in one great and stylish combination.
The debut of Aloft Abu Dhabi is yet another indicator of the brand’s international expansion plans. After opening its first hotel in Canada during June 2008, Aloft has since grown to nearly 40 hotels with a strong presence in three main countries – the United States, China and Canada – now with their recent addition to Abu Dhabi hotels marking its fourth. Looking ahead to 2010, Aloft will continue its global growth with debut openings catering to the Far East market with new India hotels and Thailand hotels. Aloft Abu Dhabi is also the first of two Aloft Middle East hotels to be opening in the next two years, with the new Aloft Riyadh scheduled for a 2011 opening.
