Beautifully positioned at Wadduwa’s west coast the new luxury pavilions have been created with an emphasis on space, tranquillity and peace of mind, using Balinese and Sri-Lankan architecture interlaced with walkways and water channels. Moreover, this boutique Sri Lanka hotel will also feature a Club House reception area housing a library, as well as a spa, gym and swimming pool complete with Jacuzzi. A tennis court amidst the gardens is also there for sport-lovers to engage in 24 hour game-playing.

For uninterrupted landscape viewing during this most intimate of Sri Lanka luxury holidays, the new Serene Pavilions have been located amidst a 7-acre coconut grove with direct access to the resort’s front facing sandy beach, enjoying sweeping panoramic views over the Indian Ocean.

This most exceptional of boutique Sri Lanka hotels will feature a private plunge pool to go with each every separate pavilion, surrounded by a large pool decking area with Bali designed sun protection cover and complete with outside shower and facilities. To perfectly compliment the luxury holidays experience; 24 hour private butler service will also be available at each pavilion, each made up of either one or two elegantly appointed bedrooms with attached dressing room, a spacious sitting room and dining area, a furnished kitchenette, a butler’s pantry, a private bar and a large bathroom featuring 2 vanity units, separate shower room and Jacuzzi. In addition to all this, every pavilion will be equipped with a flat TV, DVD/CD player, a safe deposit box, hairdryer, tea and coffee makers as well as many other items to pamper the most sophisticated of guests who demand only the very best out of their luxury Sri Lanka holidays.

With renewed stability in the country, comes growth in tourism and a healthy outlook. Sri Lanka offers a range of diversity all in close proximity - beaches, archaeology, city, culture and natural environment as well as the warmth of the people. The demand for boutique hotels offering fine hospitality has always remained and we have designed and built on this premise, but with the added uniqueness of privacy and space in the form of Pavilions and butler service. Serene Pavilions offers lavishly appointed and spacious “homes” to provide unrestrained luxury, total privacy with a highly personalised service. Each Pavilion has been designed to meet exacting criteria and loving christened with a Sanskrit name. Thus we have blended Sri Lankan culture with the highest levels of service and hospitality to showcase this area of the country” said British entrepreneur Clive Leach, Chairman of Serene Pavilions as he commented on the latest Sri Lanka investment.

Out of the 12 pavilions, 8 will be two storied, one-bedroom pavilions positioned right on the ocean front with spacious first floor balconies offering the most beautiful uninterrupted views. The remaining four garden and central pool pavilions (one with one-bedroom and three with two-bedrooms) are spread across 225 square metres on the same level, wrapped around by a private garden and decking. To make for the most spectacular of Sri Lanka holidays, all pavilions have been built 12 feet above sea-level.

“There is demand for a high quality product. We aim to capture new niche markets which have been created through pro-active marketing in key markets such as post recessionary incentive programmes, corporate R&Rs, renewals of marriage vows celebrations and by maintaining high levels of service and privacy for our guests” said Anura Lokuhetty, who with over 30 years of experience in Sri Lankan hospitality and tourism remains optimistic for increased growth in this sector of the market.
