A new St Kitts hotel is currently being developed by Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in Cockleshell Bay. The new Park Hyatt St. Kitts will be featuring 125 rooms and suites, a luxury spa, 100 Park branded residential townhouses and 86 estate villas.
A new addition to St. Kitts hotels is underway in the form of a stunning new development in Cockleshell Bay which will be managed by Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and St. Michael’s Foundation Ltd. The eastern Caribbean island is a popular tourist destination with travellers looking for luxury St. Kitts holidays and the new property will provide guests with the ultimate luxury experience.
Park Hyatt St. Kitts will feature 125 rooms and suites, a luxury spa with eight different treatment rooms, 100 Park branded residential townhouses and 86 estate villas set upon 150 acres of land. Senior Vice President of Development in Latin America and the Caribbean for Park Hyatt, Pat McCudden, said:
“Park Hyatt St. Kitts will join Hyatt Regency Trinidad, which opened in 2008, and Hyatt Regency Curacao, scheduled to open in early 2010. We believe St. Michael’s Foundation is the ideal partner for this project and we look forward to delivering an unprecedented level of luxury to St. Kitts.”
Guests on holidays in St. Kitts who stay at the new Park Hyatt hotel will be treated to a combination of luxury, style, and elegance and exceptional personal service. Park Hyatt St. Kitts will be the first Park Hyatt hotel to open in the Caribbean region. With a backdrop of white sandy beaches and sparkling waters, the establishment will bring a boost to the island’s tourism and encourage more visitors on St. Kitts holidays to visit the region again and stay in one of the largest St. Kitts hotels.
Chief Executive Officer of St. Michael’s Foundation, Chris Kanahai, said:
“St. Kitts offers a tropical landscape unlike any other Caribbean destination, and we’re confident this development will showcase how the island offers something for all travellers, from our chic capital city of Basseterre to lush rainforests and everything in between.
“Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and the Park Hyatt brand share St. Michael’s Foundation’s commitment to excellence and I know we are leading a new area of tourism in St. Kitts that will benefit the region in many ways.”
The hotel is due to be completed by 2013 and developments are also underway to open a number of high end restaurants, a casino, and a 160-berth marina in Cockleshell Bay.
