Embark on a spectacular journey that travels through the heart of India by 'bullet train', to explore old and new Delhi, the Taj Mahal in Agra and bustling bazaars of Jaipur that epitomize the rich culture of Rajputana. Travelling by the fastest train in India, the ever-changing scenery and vegetation will slowly unfold as you move from city to city on this enticing itinerary. Delhi is a cosmopolitan city that has a rich history stretching back thousands of years. It has been the capital of at least seven or eight great civilizations, and each of them has left monuments worth exploring. In Old Delhi you will visit the 17th century Jama Masjid and walk through the narrow, winding lanes of the colourful and bustling Chandni Chowk. In New Delhi, you can drive past The Presidential Palace and all the government buildings. Upon arrival in Agra, you will be met by your Tour Guide and will be taken to see the best sites including Agra Fort. Then travel to Jaipur by train. The capital of Rajasthan province is known for its arts and crafts, jewellery, handpainted fabrics and stone sculptures; it is one of North India's finest examples of a planned city embodying the best of Rajput and Mughal architecture.

Day 1 - Arrival in Delhi

Staying at the Maidens Hotel, Delhi on Bed and Breakfast
Met by representative at the airport
Free to relax and explore Delhi

Day 2 - Delhi

Full guided tour of Delhi with an English speaking guide
Visit the 17th Century Jama Masjid in Old Delhi
Explore the Red Fort, Mughal Empire's most opulent fort
Visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated
The afternoon is dedicated to New Delhi, where you drive past the Presidential Palace, India Gate and drive along the Raipath past the Parliament House
Visit a 12th century tower of victory, the Qutab Minar, built by a slave King and is the prototype for all towers (minars) in India
Discover the 16th century Humayun's tomb, a precursor to the Taj Majhal

Day 3 - Delhi to Agra

Make your way to Agra via train, where upon arrival you will be met by your tour guide and taken to the Agra Fort for some sightseeing
From there, you can pay a visit to the tomb of Itimad ud Daulah, also known as the 'Baby Taj', because of its resemblance to the Taj Majhal
After checking into your hotel for the night, you are free to spend the evening at leisure

Day 4 - Agra to Jaipur

Experience a sunrise like no other over the Taj Mahal, where the art of embedding wafer thin semi-precious stones into marble gives you a unique and beautiful view
Return to you hotel for breakfast before making your way to Jaipur
After checking into your hotel, relax and take in Jaipur's night life at your own pace

Day 5 - Jaipur

Visit the capital of Amber and explore the Amber Fort, which you can reach by either Jeep or by Elephant
Here you can visit the Sheesh Mahal or 'Hall of Mirrors' for a dazzling experience
In the afternoon, you will visit the City Palace, a complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards.
For the budding cosmologists and Astronomers, you can visit the Jantar Mantar, the most famous of five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh in India

Day 6 - Jaipur

A day that you can spend doing your own thing, or alternatively you can choose one of the following activities (Added supplement)
A morning walk in the old city, a private guided tour of the city as it awakens
Jaipur on foot, an evening walk by guide through the Bazaars, artisan stalls and markets

Day 7 - Jaipur to Delhi

A private car will take you to the strain station for your connection back to Delhi
Once you've checked into your hotel for the evening, you can relax and unwind at your own pace

Day 8 - Depart Delhi

Private transfer to Delhi International Airport for your flight back to the UK
