For the purpose of simplicity the food of India can be categorised into North Indian and South Indian. But that is a simplistic categorisation in terms of popularity, within every state, city, or home in India you will find great culinary variation. India's talent for combining natural assets with the best outside influences has led to delightful and often surprising cuisine. Day 1 - Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met and assisted by a representative and will be transferred to your hotel.

Delhi is a cosmopolitan city that has a rich history stretching back thousands of years. It has been the capital of at least seven or eight great civilisations, and each of them has left monuments worth exploring.

Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel or explore the surroundings on your own.

Stay overnight in New Delhi.

Day 2 - Delhi

After breakfast, enjoy your culinary walk in Old Delhi. Experience the variety of food in the local bazaars. Old Delhi Bazaars have colourful and interesting street food and is crowned with the oldest shops with many world originated delicacies.

After the walk, visit a Hindu Home (Masterji ki haveli) in Old Delhi for a demonstration & tasting of traditional home-style Indian vegetarian cooking.

Later visit the famous Sikh Temple, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru.

Evening is reserved for Dinner at Veda, a Pan-Indian experience from which people will take back flavours of the glorious food of the richly blessed Indian Sub-Continent.

Stay overnight in New Delhi.

Day 3 - Delhi - Lucknow

In the morning, connect your flight to Lucknow

Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel.

Lucknow is a 2500 year old city of magnificent edifices, gardens, crumbling mausoleums, imambaras and ruins of what were once regal residences.

Spend the day at leisure. In the evening proceed for a Culinary Walk. This walk allows you to hop in and out of the traditional roadside eateries where you get the chance to try the best that is on the menu.

***This walk is essentially for meat eaters and is conducted every day except Thursdays and Sundays at 1845 hrs. The total duration is about 1.5 hours. This walk also remains suspended during festivals such as on 10th Mohorram and 6 days after Eid***

Stay overnight in Lucknow.

Day 4 - Lucknow

In the morning enjoy sightseeing around Lucknow visiting Bara Imambara. Rumi Darwaza and the Asfi Mosque.

Afterwards, proceed to Husainabad Complex, See the Clock Tower, the highest in Asia. Visit the Husainabad Imambara known for its beauty & pieces of decor.

Lunch will be at the famous "Tundey Kebabs" one of the best food outlets in the city.

Afternoon will be spent touring "British Lucknow" Visiting the Lucknow Residency where speechless walls are known to speak the gruesome tale of the 1857 mutiny.

Your Dinner will be at Oudhyana Restaurant at the hotel, which offers the most authentic Avadhi Cuisine.

Day 5 - Lucknow - Delhi - Agra

In the morning, board your flight to Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, drive to Agra (210 kms / 3.5 Hrs).

Upon arrival in Agra, check-in at the hotel.

Synonymous with the Taj Mahal the beautiful city is home to some of the finest mausoleums, forts and palaces. The entire city speaks volumes about the wealth, craftsmanship and architecture of the Mughal Dynasty.

During the evening you will be taken to "Pinch of Spice" for Dinner.

Stay overnight in Agra.

Day 6 - Agra - Jaipur

At Sunrise, visit the Taj Mahal. The Taj is built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan to enshrine the mortal remains of his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal.

Return to the hotel for breakfast.

Later visit the massive Agra Fort which was originally started by Emperor Akbar in 1565, but his son Jahangir and grandson Shah Jahan later made valuable additions to it.

After the visit drive to Jaipur (235 kms / 5 Hrs).

Upon arrival in Jaipur, check-in at the hotel.

Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan province is known for its arts and crafts, jewellery, handpainted fabrics and stone sculptures; it is one of North India's finest examples of a planned city embodying the best of Rajput and Mughal architecture

Stay overnight in Jaipur.

Day 7 - Jaipur

During the morning after breakfast, enjoy a full day city tour of Jaipur.

You will first visit the Hilltop fortress at Amer. On the way back stop at the "Palace of Winds"

Continue to Jantar Mantar, an observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh II in the 18th century. Also visit the City Palace. The palace is now principally a museum housing a collection of great treasures.

The Evening is reserved for Special Cooking Lesson followed by Dinner at Dera Mandawa.

Stay overnight in Jaipur.

Day 8 - Jaipur - Mumbai - Cochin - Nelpura

In the morning, board your flight to Cochin, Via Mumbai

Upon arrival in Cochin, drive to Nelpura (74 kms / 2 Hrs)

Nelpura which is located at Allapuzha district in Kerala. Nelpura means granary where paddy is stored and grains for the next season are preserved.

Spend the evening at leisure. Stay overnight in Nelpura.

Day 9 - Nelpura

After breakfast, spend your day at leisure to enjoy the surroundings of the homestay.

Day 10 - Nelpura - Alleppey

During the morning after breakfast, transfer to the boat jetty to board the houseboat for your overnight stay.

Day 11 - Alleppey - Kumarakom

In the morning after breakfast, disembark the houseboat at Phillip Kutty's Farm.

Staying at Philipkutty's Farm is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the real Keralan experience in a fascinating location, with a caring family to look after you.

In the evening take a cooking lesson from the skilful mother, who will be glad to share the secret recipes she had accumulated over the years. This will be followed by a sumptuous Dinner.

Stay overnight in Kumarakom

Day 12 - Kumarakom

In the morning after breakfast, spend a full day at leisure for independent activities.

There is a multitude of activities you can indulge in on a direct payment basis with the homestay.

Evening is at leisure. Stay overnight in Kumraakom.

Day 13 - Kumarakom - Cochin

In the morning after breakfast, check-out and you will be transferred to Cochin Airport (90 kms / 2.5 Hrs) to connect your onward flight.
