The West Beach & Heritage Tour visits some of Cuba’s most famous attractions. The tour starts in charming capital Havana. Explore the paved streets and colonial buildings of Old Havana, follow in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway and enjoy the vibrant Cuban music and dance at the famous Tropicana Cuban Club. The tour then visits the Che Guevera Monument in Santa Clara and travels to Sancti Spiritus, a town famous for its Romanesque stone bridge. A highlight of the tour is a visit to the fascinating town of Trinidad, one of the finest colonial towns in all of the Americas. The West Beach & Heritage Tour comes to an end in the popular beach resort of Varadero.

  • Follow in the footsteps of Hemmingway This tour includes a visit to Hemmingway's home, Cojimar Town, the setting for 'the Old man and the sea' and the famous Floridita bar and restaurant. Dinner at La Bodeguita, where he spent much of his time, is also included.
  • Havana's most famous and treasured sites a city tour of Havana will introduce you to the beauty of Old Havana, the capitol building, revolution square and a visit to a Latin jazz club for a taste of live music.
  • Historic cities, museums and monuments A visit to Santa Clara is a must to pay homage to Che and the UNESCO city of Trinidad for it's sheer beauty. The historic port of Cienfuegos and Sancti spiritus are also included.

Day 1 - London • Havana

On arrival to Havana Airport you will be transferred to your hotel.

  • Overnight at Tryp Habana Libre or similar

Day 2 - Havana

After breakfast take a City Tour to visit the most representative areas of the city. See the 4 main plazas of the historical centre then enjoy a walking tour around the Capitol Building, the cultural section and Revolution Square. The tour then visits Ernest Hemingway’s home, where you will be able of getting closer to the life and work of this famous writer of “For whom the bells tolls”. Continue to Cojimar Town, the setting of “The Old Man and The Sea” before returning to Havana for lunch at the famous Floridita Bar & Restaurant. Return to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at La Bodeguita del Medio Restaurant, where Hemingway spent part of his leisure time.  After dinner transfer to Morro Castle to see the Cannon Shot Ceremony, one of the oldest and most popular traditions in Havana City. Transfer to La Zorra y el Cuervo nightclub to enjoy a good live Latin jazz music up to late in the evening.  Return to the hotel. (b,l,d)

Day 3 - Havana

Enjoy a free day to explore the city at your leisure or enjoys a range of optional activities. In the evening visit to the famous Tropicana Cuban Club for a great dinner and show with Cuban rhythms, dancers and live music.  Return to the hotel. (b,d)

  • Overnight at Tryp Habana Libre or similar.

Day 4 - Havana • Santa Clara • Remedios

After breakfast depart on to Santa Clara where you will take a Panoramic City Tour visiting Che Square and the Armour Plated Train Monument. Enjoy lunch at La Granjita Restaurant.  After lunch, continue the journey to Remedios, a town known for its religious customs, peaceful atmosphere and beautiful people. (b,l)

  • Overnight at Mascote Hostel or similar.

Day 5 - Sancti Spiritus

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before travelling to Sancti Spiritus. Take a city tour to see the National Monument Bridge Yayabo, and a brief walking tour along the pedestrian boulevard before lunch at Quinta Santa Elena Restaurant. The afternoon and evening are free to relax or enjoy optional activities. (b,l)

  • Overnight at El Rijo Plaza Hostel or similar.

Day 6 - Sancti Spiritus • Trinidad

Depart for Trinidad after breakfast visiting the Manaca-Iznaga Tower on the way to take in views of Sugar Cane Valley. On arrival in Trinidad take a tour of this fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Listed city and visit the Romantic Museum. Stop at the Canchanchara Bar to taste a typical Cuban cocktail before lunch at Plaza Mayor Restaurant. There is time after lunch to take pictures of the city before returning to Sancti Spiritus. The evening is free for optional activities. (b,l)

  • Overnight at El Rijo Plaza Hostel or similar.

Day 7 - Sancti Spiritus • Cienfuegos • Varadero *

Transfer to Cienfuegos where you enjoy a Panoramic City Tour and lunch at La Union Terrace. In the afternoon continue the journey to Varadero where the tour comes to an end. (b,l)

*It may be possible to amend the final transfer to Varadero to take guests to the final hotel in Havana, Cayo Santa Maria or Cayo Coco  where the tour will then end. Please enquire about this at the time of booking.
