Overview

This 7-day group dance tour offers you the chance to combine learning hot Latin dance moves with spending time taking guided tours to places such as the beautiful old part of Havana and the nearby tropical beaches of Playas del Este.

Day 1: Arrival in Havana
Arrive at José Marti – the international Airport of Havana. Either transfer to the hotel, or dive right in and explore the city.

Day 2: Habana Vieja
At 9am, your tour guide will accompany you to the dance school “Academia del Baile Ritmo Cubano”. Your personal Cuban dancing partner and our main instructor will introduce you to the world of Cuba’s rhythm and music. After your class you will enjoy a tour through Old Havana and its historical centre, including a visit to the Rum Museum. Lunch takes place in a typical Cuban restaurant. In the afternoon you will visit the community project Casa del Tango.

Day 3: Cemetery Cristobal Colón
This morning, after the dancing lesson, your tour guide will take you to the Cemetery Cristobal Colón, considered one of the largest in the world. There you will discover a unique variety of sculptural and architectural exponents erected for more than a century with an amazing diversity of styles. In the afternoon, visit The Plaza de la Revolución, symbol of the Cuban Revolution, and, since 1959, scene of historic events and demonstrations. Return to your hotel, and the evening is free at your disposal.

Day 4: Playas Del Este
After breakfast and a 90 minute salsa lesson, you’ll leave for the eastern part of Havana. After a 30 minute trip, you will reach more than 10km of white sandy beaches located in this area. You can relax and swim in the crystal-clear waters for the rest of the day. The evening is again at your disposal.

Day 5: Cabaret Parisien
You will start the day again with a hot salsa lesson. You can use the rest of the morning and afternoon exploring Cuba on your own by visiting a museum or rum factory in town, or just relaxing at the hotel’s pool. In the evening we leave for a live musical show, Cabaret Parisien, with its variety of musical performances at the Hotel Nacional.

Day 6: Casa de la Música Farewell Dinner
Today will be the last day of your dance course. In the afternoon you will get the chance to find out how much you have learned during your salsa lessons as you apply salsa theory into practice at the Casa de la Múscia with a live Cuban Salsa band. In the evening, join a special farewell dinner in the restaurant La Floridiana. A cocktail will be offered in the piano bar afterwards to celebrate a great holiday in Cuba and prepare for departure.

Day 7: Adiós Cuba!
The morning is at your disposal and you can use it to do sightseeing around Havana or shop for gifts and souvenirs from Cuba. In the afternoon, visit the Patio de la Rumba, the centre of the "Conjunto Folklorico Nacional" – a folkloristic national dance organization. Here, you will be treated to a special live show of Afro-Cuban music. You are more than welcome to join in! Later you may depart for your flight back home or you can continue with your own holiday arrangements in Cuba.
