ITINERARY

Day 1 – Arrival in Havana
Welcome to Cuba! We can arrange a transfer to the hotel for you (optional) or you can organise transportation yourself. Enjoy a stay at Comodoro, or at a similar standard of property and benefit from Bed and breakfast board.

Day 2 – Havana
Pick up your rental car and get exploring. Havana's old town was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1982. Walking through Havana makes you feel as if you have been sent back in time. Perhaps, visit the Havana Club Rum Museum or try an authentic Cuban dinner at one of Havana's local restaurants. Enjoy a stay at Comodoro, or at a similar standard of property and benefit from the Bed and breakfast board.

Day 3 – Viñales
Drive to Viñales, a beautiful and quaint town, located amid green tobacco fields and monumental limestone hills. Enjoy a stay at a Casa Particular, or at a similar standard of property.

Day 4 – Viñales
Relish a free day in Viñales. Perhaps, take a guided tour of a tobacco factory, and learn how to roll the famous Cuban cigars, locally known as puros. Alternatively visit the stunning natural cave of Cueva del Indio, or bask upon the nearby, beautiful beach of Cayo Jutías. Enjoy swimming and reclining or go on a boat tour, before heading to a Casa Particular, or at a similar standard of property, for a relaxing night’s sleep.

Day 5- Santa Clara
Drive to Santa Clara, to visit the famous Che Guevara museum, memorial and monument and learn about the revolution! Enjoy a stay at a Casa Particular, or at a similar standard of property.

Day 6 – Cienfuegos
Drive to Cienfuegos, one of the most beautiful and liveliest cities in all of Cuba. The Palacio de Valle, with its gothic, Venetian and neoclassical architectural influences, is one of Cienfuegos’s jewels. In the evening retire to a Casa Particular, or at a similar standard of property.

Day 7 - Trinidad
Drive to the spirited city of Trinidad. Before arriving in Trinidad, you could stop and visit abundant botanical gardens. Retire to a Casa Particular, or at a similar standard of property.

Day 8 – Trinidad
Enjoy a free day and explore Trinidad! Perhaps visit the Topes de Collantes a nature reserve park for a jungle-like forrest hike, or visit Ancon beach, offering lots of optional activities including diving, snorkelling, and catamaran tours. Spend the night at a Casa Particular, or at a similar standard of property.

Day 9 – Camagüey
Drive to Camagüey. Drive through sugar cane plantations and perhaps stop at the watchtower of Torre Iznaga, which was formerly used to oversee slaves labouring in the sugarcane fields. Nowadays, tourists can walk up the 560 m high tower and enjoy a great view of the beautiful surrounding fields. Once in Camaguey, perhaps explore the city from a new perspective and take a tour in a bike-taxi. The architecture in Camaguey is known for having its own distinct style. Spend the night at a Casa Particular, or at a similar standard of property.

Day 10 – Bayamo
Drive to the charming town of Bayamo, which is located at the base of the Sierra Maestra mountain range. Explore the town and perhaps enjoy a hike through the Sierra Maestra, following the same path as many Cuban revolutionaries. Marvel at views over a variety of beautiful natural landscapes, waterfalls. Spend the night at a Casa Particular in Bayamo, or at a similar standard of property.

Day 11- Santiago de Cuba
On the 11th day you will enjoy a complimentary breakfast before leaving the majestic Sierra Meastra Mountains behind as you travel to Santiago de Cuba, also known as the second capital of Cuba. Get caught up in the lively Caribbean way of life as you discover the highlights of this vibrant city. Enjoy a stay at a Casa Particular, or at a similar standard of property.

Day 12 - Santiago de Cuba
Enjoy a Free Day and explore the sights of Santiago de Cuba. Maybe, visit the Castillo El Morro, a monumental 16th century citadel, the sculptural cemetery of Santa Ifigenia, and the Moncada Museum. Spend the night at a Casa Particular, or at a similar standard of property.

Day 13 – Baracoa
Drive to Baracoa. Perhaps enjoy a stop at the Alexander of Humboldt National Park, which has been declared a UNESCO world heritage site. Hike through the park and get the chance to refresh yourself in the cold and crystal-clear chutes of a waterfall and admire the unique flora and fauna. In the evening, retire to a Casa Particular, or at a similar standard of property.

Day 14 – Baracoa
Enjoy a Free day exploring Baracoa, Cuba’s oldest and most isolated town.  Perhaps, not the most stunning architecturally, yet its atmosphere and people are something to behold. Return to a Casa Particular, or at a similar standard of property, for a relaxing night’s sleep.

Day 15 – Holguin - Havana
Head to the lovely city of Holguin, renowned for its numerous parks. Return the rental car and take a domestic flight to Havana. You will spend the night at Hotel Comodoro.

Day 16 – Havana
Enjoy some free time in Havana. Spend your day as you please You will spend the night at Hotel Comodoro.

Day 17– Havana
Enjoy some free time in Havana. Spend your day as you please You will spend the night at Hotel Comodoro.

Day 18 – Havana - UK
We can arrange a transfer to take you to Havana airport for your flight back to the UK. If you decide to stay and enjoy the beautiful island of Cuba a little bit longer we would also be delighted to book some extra services for you (optional). See you next time!
