Day 1: Fly overnight to Luang Prabang

Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Luang Prabang

Day 2: Arrive in Luang Prabang

Once you arrive in Luang Prabang, you will be greeted​ at the airport and transferred to your hotel. You can check in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
In the evening you'll be invited to take part in a traditonal welcoming ceremony where you can help prepare the flowers and recieve a blessing from the local people, you can also wander through the Luang Prabang Night Market where you can hunt for some bargains and try some local streetfood!

Day 3: Explore Luang Prabang and Kuang Si Falls

In the morning you can enjoy a tour of Luang Prabang featuring some of the cities top attractions including Wat Visoun and the National Museum, housed in the former Royal Palace
After lunch, its time to drive out through the local area to idyllic Kuang Si Waterfall. Escape the heat in the swriling water and explore the lush jungle surroundings before carrying onto the Asian Black Bear Rescue Center to end your day.

Day 4: Explore the Pak Ou Caves and Phou Sy Mountain

After breakfast you can explore Luang Prabang's most impressive temple, Wat Xieng Thong before cruising up the Mekong to explore the sacred Buddha Caves of Pak Ou where you'll find hundreds of Buddha statues.
Once lunch is finished you'll head onto the local village of Ban Xanghai, who are renowned for their Laolao, a local rice wine, as well as the village of Xang Khong, known for their handmade paper.
Finish your top on top of Phou Sy Mountain where you can enjoy picteresue views out across the entire area.

Day 5: Carry on to Vang Vieng

Today you say goodbye to Luang Prabang and carry on by road to the charming river front village of Vang Vieng.
During the journey, enjoy the picturesque landscapes you’ll drive through as well as the chance to stop and interact with local Khmu and Hmong people in their villages.
Heading just outside of the village, you will be able to visit the famous Tham Jang caves which were used by local people as a hideout from Chinese invaders.

Day 6: Day at leisure in Vang Vieng

Enjoy a day of leisure to explore the area with the likes of kayaking on offer.

Day 7: Travel to Laos' capital, Vientiane

Today after breakfast, you will leave Vang Vieng and travel by road onto Laos’s capital, Vientiane.
Once you’ve checked in, head out and explore a range of sights in the city including the Wat Sisaket and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously held the famous Emerald Buddha. Sites will also include the sacred That Luang Stupa as well as the Patuxay Monument.

Day 8: Travel across to Cambodia

Enjoy a day at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
When you arrive in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, you will be greeted and transferred on to your hotel.
Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore the city.

Day 9: Explore the sites in Phnom Penh

​After breakfast, it is time to see some of Phnom Penh's top sites with a tour around the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, National Museum and upto Wat Phnom Temple, the birthplace of Phnom Penh.
Those who are interested can take an optional tour in the afternoon for an additional price to explore a darker side of the country's history at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Killing Fields of Choeung Ek.
End the day perfectly with a sunset cruise along the Mekong where you can take in local life along the banks of the river.

*To see the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh, visitors are required to wear appropriate clothes. Guests wearing shorts (above knee level) and sleeveless tops are not permitted.

Day 10: Head across to Battambang

Leave Phnom Penh after breakfast and start the drive to Battambang.
Along the way, you will have the chance to stop at Oudong, the former capital of Cambodia between 1618 and 1866 before continuing on to Kompong Chang where you can wander around the shops famous for their pots, vases and other ceramics.
Arrive at Battambang in the afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
In the evening, you can enjoy a unique performance by the Phare Ponleu Selpak. The famous Cambodian circus performs amazing performances whilst also teaching street-kids how to become street artists.

Day 11: Ride on the bamboo train and head for Siem Reap

Before leaving Battambang, you'll get the opportunity to visit Battambang Market this morning where you can wander through the stalls and watch local life.
Continue on onto a local village where you can immerse yourself in day to day life before being treated to a unique trip on the renowned bamboo train, used by the locals to transport goods.
In the afternoon, it is time to head on to Siem Reap with a stop to en-route to visit the enchanting Mechrey 'floating village'.

Day 12: Siem Reap and the Angkor Complex

Today is an early start with a departure at around 04:30am, but definitely worth it with the chance to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat. The best preserved temple of the Angkor group, it showcases Khmer civilisation and their ingenuity.
After breakfast, continue to the fortified city of Angkor Thom by Tuku Tuk and enjoy a tour of this ornately decorated ancient city.
Following on from lunch, you will see Ta Prohm. The most atmospheric of all the Angkor temples, Ta Prohm offers you that true Indiana Jones moment with its crumpling exterior that the jungle appears to taken over.
Finish the day by watching the idyllic sunset over Angkor Wat.

*Appropriate attire when visiting temples in Angkor Wat is long pants (covering the knee) and shirts that cover shoulders. Skirts, small shorts, tank tops, and other items of revealing clothing are not allowed within the temple grounds. Visitors can and are frequently turned away from temples when wearing revealing clothing.
