Getting Around
Jebel Ali is very well connected with Dubai through the red Metro line. The town has three stations. The backbone of Jebel Ali is Sheikh Zayed Road which also goes to Abu Dhabi. Taxis are available readily. As a tourist you can go for a Nol card usable on local bus service, metro, tram, and even water bus, making your commute within the town and Dubai easy.
The Walk At JBR
This long waterfront stretch is perfect for a leisurely walk as the sun sets. While it clings to the beach on one side, on the other it embraces swanky apartments and hotels, shops, pop-up stalls, lively bars and more. The Walk at JBR (Jumeirah Beach Resort) is marked with a plethora of things to see and do whether you’re wandering with the family in tow or your partner – and makes for a lovely evening spent without going too far!
Kite-Surfing At Jebel Ali Beach
Jebel Ali Open Beach is somewhat a hidden gem. This natural and unspoilt stretch of sand can only be reached by car, making it a great spot if you wish to visit somewhere peaceful and not too overcrowded. Those interested in watersports will be in their element, with no lack of kitesurfers dotted between and weaving in and out of the waves – but you’ll have to bring your own gear as there’s no shop here for equipment. A great spot if you want to get away from it all for the day.

Shop At Ibn Battuta Mall
Ibn Battuta Mall at Jebel Ali is not just a mall but an architectural wonder too. The world’s largest themed shopping mall, the pavilions here are created as per the voyages taken by the legendary explorer Ibn Battuta. The themes are based on six countries namely Egypt, Tunisia, Persia, India, China, and Andalusia. So, you can imagine the vibrant interiors. The mall not only has high-end brands, but also an extensive exhibition for those interested in Islamic science, astronomy and inventions. The bookworms can lay their hands on some of the incredibly-written old and modern literary pieces in House of Prose, one of Dubai’s rare second-hand bookshops. With over 400 shops and a cinema – this is a shopping experience with a difference.
