Deep-sea Fishing

Duration: Half Day

deep-sea fishing

Spend an unforgettable day deep-sea fishing on the serene waters of the Indian Ocean during your holiday in Mauritius. Blessed with 250 miles of white sandy beaches, sparkling turquoise lagoons, and year-round hot sunshine, Mauritius has all the elements of an idyllic tropical holiday destination, attracting fishing, sailing and diving enthusiasts from all over the world. Sail out into deeper waters and you will be surprised at what you can catch.

The warm tropical waters of the Indian Ocean are abundant with sea life, including a large variety of big game fish in the deeper waters. The beautiful volcanic island of Mauritius is an angler's paradise, and depending on the time of year you visit, you are likely to catch marlins, yellow-fin tuna, wahoo, sailfish, blue and black marlins, bonito, swordfish, barracuda and even shark species such as hammerhead, mako and tiger. Visitors can enjoy deep sea fishing throughout the year, although the best season runs from October to April.

Aside from the fishing, this tour is an exciting boat ride in itself. Marvel at views of Mauritius’ rural East coastline, which remains relatively untouched by mass tourism. Sail past sleepy fishing villages, deserted islets and some of the island’s most beautiful beaches. Inland, you will see vegetable gardens, emerald green sugar cane fields and tropical forests slope gently up towards mountainous peaks. There is no doubt that Mauritius is a one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

Your knowledgeable and experienced captain and crew will take you to the best fishing grounds in the region, and will be on hand to give you help and advice during the trip – as well as plenty of exciting, offshore action. The deep sea fishing boats are all equipped with state of the art equipment and everything you need will be provided on the trip. All you have to do is be patient and enjoy the ride as we sail across the ocean in hot pursuit of game fish! Prepare yourself for an exhilarating battle as you wrestle with your prize on the other end of your line and attempt to reel it in. Half the excitement is wondering what you will catch on the day! Whether you are an expert or a novice, this exhilarating deep sea adventure will undoubtedly get you hooked.
