Baglioni Hotels has announced that it will open its very first beach resort on the island of Maagau in Dhaalu atoll in the Maldives. The hotel group, which is famous for its luxury hotels in Italy’s top cities, will launch the Baglioni Resort Maldives in October, 2017, and it will have 96 upscale villas and facilities including a beach gym, a yoga pavilion, and a beachside pool bar.
The Singapore-based Park Hotel Group has formed a partnership with the construction and property company, Chip Eng Seng Corporation Ltd, to bring a new luxury resort to the Maldives. The Kodhipparu Island Resort in the North Male Atoll was purchased for US$65 million, and is due to open to guests in the second quarter of 2017 with 120 luxury villas.
Lux Resorts and Hotels has announced the opening of a brand new spa at one of its hotels in the Maldives. The five-star Lux South Ari Atoll has launched the LUX* Me Spa, with facilities including a Chinese teahouse, a relaxation area with lagoon views, and the Zen wellness pavilion with yoga, tai chi and Pilates classes. Guests will receive expert advice from experienced and professional Holistic therapists and onsite trainers.
