Where to go in the Maldives

Almost every island or atoll in the Maldives is as stunningly beautiful as the next, so you're spoilt for choice in terms of places to visit. Is it the beachfront hotel or the thatched island-style hut that suits you best? Depending on the type of holiday you're looking for, we can help you narrow it down to a destination that suits your desires and dreams.

The Ari Atoll is the westernmost atoll in the Maldives and is made up of about 50 unspoilt islands scattered along its eastern edge. If you're looking for the ultimate island escape with a little touch of luxury, we definitely recommend this secluded corner of the Maldives.

A little closer to the hustle and bustle of Male is the North Male Atoll. This is the perfect destination for the more inquisitive traveller, keen to learn a little more about the history and culture of this Indian Ocean paradise.

Whether it's a package holiday, an all inclusive escape or a tailor made adventure you're looking for, the Maldives offers luxury accommodation to make your dreams come true.

Accommodation ranges from beautiful, more affordable four star hotels to Platinum standard, with the most complete all inclusive experiences. Our experts have visited the Maldives many times and can recommend the hotel or resort to meet your exact needs and budget.

Where is best for you?

If you're looking for…

Travel on a budget

The Kuredu Island resort in the Lhaviyani Atoll is an all inclusive four star resort built out into the sparkling blue waters unique to the Maldives. We recommend it as a high quality resort for those travellers who are trying to stick to a budget.

Romantic getaways

At the other end of the budget scale is the Lily Beach resort in the South Ari Atoll. This Platinum all inclusive hotel offers luxury on an epic scale, making it the ideal destination for those looking for a romantic getaway.

Honeymoon destination

For those in search of the perfect honeymoon, the South Male Atoll has a more secluded and intimate atmosphere. Comprising of 22 coral islands barely rising above sea level, this is a place where lush greens meet the brightest white sands and crystalline blue waters. It's the kind of place you only usually see in your dreams.

Watersport adventure

The Maldives is littered with exceptional diving spots. If surfing is your thing, the choppy waters around the island of Thulusdhoo are perfect for catching a few waves.

Soak up the island culture

The appropriately named Paradise Island doesn't disappoint, offering exceptional accommodation in the North Male Atoll. Enjoy your secluded paradise located only a short hop away from the main island, where you can mix with the locals, soak up the culture and visit the golden domed Friday Mosque.

Multi-centre holidays

For the ultimate Maldives experience, why not break up your stay by island hopping and experiencing the luxury on offer in several of the Maldives' most luxurious resorts? We make the planning easy by organising your boat journeys and sea plane bookings according to your tastes.

If you're looking for a bit of retail therapy or culture to soak up after you've recharged your batteries, combine the Maldives with a Dubai or Sri Lank holiday. Engage your body and your mind for a more complete holiday experience.
