Have the honeymoon of your dreams in the Maldives

The Maldivian islands exude romance, luxury and barefoot sophistication. This dream combination makes the scarcely inhabited Indian Ocean destination a desirable and alluring haven for honeymooners and couples seeking the perfect mix of island seclusion and superior accommodation.

Its paradisiacal, exotic lure lies in the purity of its untouched beaches, the raw beauty of its sparkling, cobalt blue waters and the rich wildlife that thrives beneath the surface. But the one single thing that makes the Maldives stand out for honeymooners is the fact that each resort here is set on its very own private island, so you know that you and your loved one will have a piece of paradise practically all to yourselves.

If all this sounds like what you're after, then read on for some inspiration on where to stay and what to do in Maldives for the most unforgettable honeymoon, see our selection of top honeymoon resorts below, and let our team of honeymoon specialists show you around our best honeymoon offers in the Maldives.

Endless romance and personalised luxury

The carefree lifestyle together with the many experiences on offer, make the Maldives a coveted landmark for the most decadently indulgent honeymoons.

Couples seeking the ultimate pampering experience can book themselves in at a selection of lavish boutique retreats set right on the beach, such as the Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, where you'll be enjoying personalised butler service plus a host of unique perks from the comfort of your private villa.

Wake up to incredible views of a serene turquoise sea stretching before your eyes. Dip your toes in the water from the deck of your private over-water villa while having in-room breakfast or arrange for a private dinner under the stars. In Maldives, every kind of romantic luxury imaginable is possible and can be tailored to the needs of you and your special someone.

Maldives honeymoons for active couples

From walking hand-in-hand while admiring a glorious sunset, to enjoying a private dinner on the beach, going for a bespoke couples massage on a thatch tent overlooking a glistening lagoon to swimming amongst colourful creatures under the sea, the Maldives offers lovers every opportunity and excuse to enjoy each other's company while discovering a new world and engaging in exciting activities.

For couples that want to do more than lounge on the beach all day long, the Lux* Maldives offers guests with a wide and varied choice of things to do while on your honeymoon that go well beyond enjoying spa treatments for couples and watching sunsets.

At the five-star Lux* Maldives you can take your pick from complimentary activities that range from reef snorkelling, kayaking and pedal boating to making the most of the onsite world-class diving centre and enjoying direct access to the most beautiful diving sites. The resort also boasts secret pathways through tropical gardens for romantic promenades and authentic tastes at its numerous restaurants.

Tailor-made honeymoons in Maldives

For a personalised Maldives honeymoon, we can help you create your ideal Maldivian getaway, customising your trip to your specific needs and wants and that of your partner. No detail is too small, no request too big, just ask our expert team of advisors and we'll do our very best to accommodate all your requirements.

For a different honeymoon experience in the Maldives, you could even cruise the nation on a traditional Dhoni boat and soak up the carefree Maldivian lifestyle at a difference pace as you sail along its coast, calling in at different idyllic islets and atolls.

Or you can mix and match your honeymoon experience with a twin-centre holiday to Maldives and another of our exciting destinations like Dubai or Sri Lanka. Have a look at our list of twin-centre holidays or, if not listed here, give us a call and plan your own twin-centre honeymoon to Maldives and the destination of your choice. The possibilities are endless.
