Maldives for couples

Virtually every resort, facility and hotel in the Maldives has been purposefully designed to appeal to couples in search of romance and seclusion. So wherever you go in the Maldives and whichever atoll you choose as your base, one thing is guaranteed: it won't be hard for two lovebirds to find that special piece of idyllic romantic paradise hidden from the world.

With its vast expanses of shallow, sparkling coastline, fine glittering sands and glowing sunshine, The Maldives are the epitome of romance and natural beauty, so it's little wonder it has long been the top honeymoon destination for lovers and the most desirable hotspot for couples celebrating anniversaries, vow renewals and intimate beach weddings.

The Maldives themselves were created for romance and if in doubt you only have to browse through our Maldives gallery and be seduced by the barefoot island living and the many indulging possibilities awaiting loved-up visitors.

Romantic breaks, special occasions, celebrations and anniversaries

As if the unique, virtually deserted landscapes of the Maldives weren't seductive enough on their own, most resorts in these blessed islands specifically cater for romance by giving couples unique experiences created just for two.

Select from romantic sunset cruises with champagne and canapes, pampering massage sessions for couples, private candlelit dinners on the beach or in the privacy of your own villa, special turndown services where maids will prepare a romantic bath sprinkled with rose petals, and much, much more.

Whether you've chosen the Maldives for a romantic break to mark a special milestone in your relationship, to celebrate a special occasion or anniversary or simply to treat and indulge a loved one, this island paradise will certainly not disappoint.

When it comes to romance it's virtually impossible to find one Maldivian resort that doesn't offer it, and here we have plenty for you too choose from.

An island hideaway just for the two of you

Many of our Maldives resorts are set in exclusive private islands or atolls that are totally uninhabited except for the one resort you'll be staying at (that's right just one resort per island!), which means that you will quite literally have a whole island just to yourself, your partner (and the few other guests staying, of course).

Can you imagine a more romantic getaway in a place more idyllic than this? Neither can we.

What could be more romantic than having a deserted island all to yourself and getting up to see the run rise from the glistening waters in the privacy of your very own overwater villa? Or enjoying uninterrupted vistas of the endless turquoise sea and cloudless blue sky stretching before you as you open your eyes every morning, and gaze into the distance from the comfort of your bed? From dipping your toes in the warm waters facing your villa to walking on miles of deserted sands hand in hand, the Maldives represent the true escapist island hideaway.

From the Kuredu Island Resort to Komandoo Island Resort and Paradise Island, all of these exclusive resorts are set on their own private island paradise, giving you total seclusion, utmost privacy and sheer serenity. The hard part will be choosing which one of these stunning resorts to stay at for your dream Maldives holiday.
