- Experience life in the lobby bar
Ambos Mundos Hotel was built in the late 1920's and its room 511 is famous as where Ernest Hemingway stayed when he wrote the first chapters of For Whom The Bell Tolls. This room has become a little shrine with some of Hemingway's belongings and the hotel's Plaza de Armas Restaurant serves some of his favourite dishes. The hotel has an intimate atmosphere and guests can enjoy great views of the Plaza de Armas and surroundings from the roof terrace bar. Ambos Mundos is located close to the most beautiful parts of Old Havana and is a great base for exploring this amazing city.
Great location, our room looked directly out onto the street which was great. We would definitely stay here again.
