Providenciales in Turks and Caicos has been declared the best island in the world by leading travel website TripAdvisor's annual Travellers' Choice Awards. The picturesque island climbed up from its No.2 ranking last year and knocked Ambergris Caye in Belize off its two-year-running top spot, and even out of the top 10.

Turks and Caicos signs development agreement for new multi-million dollar resort in Grace Bay

A development agreement has been signed by the Turks and Caicos Islands government and Desarrollos Hotel Group for the construction of a brand new $224 million hotel, resort, casino and spa complex in Turks and Caicos. The resort will be situated the famous Grace Bay beach on the island of Providenciales and work is expected to commence this November.

British Airways to increase flights to Turks and Caicos

British Airways has announced that it will increase the number of flights between London Gatwick and Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean this autumn. The new flights will operate on Thursdays from October, 2015 and they will go via Antigua, bringing the airline's total number of services to the country up to two every week.

Sandals International Resorts has acquired The Veranda Resorts & Residences in Turks and Caicos, following talks with the nation's government and Governor. The all-inclusive resort will be an expansion of the existing Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Villages and Spa and it will offer four and three-bedroom villas, one and two-bedroom suites and studios, as well as the longest stretch of Grace Bay Beach.

Ritz-Carlton hotel planned for Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos

The Turks and Caicos Islands Premier Dr. Rufus Ewing has announced that a Ritz-Carlton hotel will be coming to Turks and Caicos. The hotel will take over the planned the JW Marriott property on Grace Bay on the island of Providenciales. Venezuela-based Desarrollos Hotelco is behind the condominium-hotel development.

West Bay Club in Turks and Caicos launches all-inclusive package

The West Bay Club on the island of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos has launched an all inclusive plan for travellers planning to visit the resort over the next few months. Room rates start from $625 per night in an oceanview one-bedroom suite and includes daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, unlimited beverages, return airport transfers, and of bicycles, non-motorised water sports and the fitness centre.

Turks and Caicos records increase of visitors in first half of 2014

The Caribbean island nation of Turks and Caicos has recorded a 25 per cent increase in tourist arrivals in the first half of 2014. The islands received a total of 199,347 stopover visitors with the United States making up the largest source market, according to figures released by the nation's government.

Grace Bay Resorts to host Caribbean Food and Wine Festival in Turks and Caicos in November

The annual Caribbean Food and Wine Festival will be hosted by Grace Bay Resorts in Turks and Caicos this November. The weekend event will take place from 6th to 8th November, 2014 and is in partnership with the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board and The Wine Cellar in Providenciales. The festival will feature renowned chefs including Leah Cohen, the former "Top Chef" contestant and owner of New York's Pig and Khao.

Luxury multi-million dollar resort development planned for Turks and Caicos

Circle Holdings Limited is developing a multi-million dollar luxury resort and marina in Turks and Caicos after a development agreement was signed last week. The complex will be built on a 17-acre site in Turtle Cove and will have 1,300-feet of marina and 775-feet of sand beach on Grace Bay on the island of Providenciales.
