Trinidad and Tobago appoints new tourism minister

Following the recent elections, a new Tourism Minister has been appointed for the twin island nation of Trinidad and Tobago. Shamfa Cudjoe, originally from Tobago, has taken over the role that will involve developing initiatives to improve the local tourism industry and improve links between the two islands in the Caribbean.

More performers added to star-studded line-up at 2015 Tobago Jazz Experience

Romain Virgo and Busy Signal have been added to the line-up for the 2015 Tobago Jazz Experience which takes place next month. The Jamaican dancehall stars will join world-class stars including Jenifer Hudson, Miguel, Kool and the Gang, Jill Scott, and David Rudder at the annual Tobago music festival.

New boutique hotel opens on island of Tobago

A brand new boutique hotel has opened close to the ANR Robinson International Airport in Tobago in the Caribbean. Chic has 40 guest rooms, Tempo Restaurant, a luxury spa, a swimming pool called Flip Flops, and a large Calypso Ballroom. It's the first boutique property to open on the island for some time.

Jennifer Hudson and Jill Scott join line-up for Tobago Jazz Experience in April

This April, the Tobago Jazz Experience festival will take place and will feature world-class artists including Jennifer Hudson, Kool and the Gang. and Jill Scott. Organised by the Division of Tourism and Transportation, the week-long festival attracts music-lovers from all over the world to the Caribbean island.

Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort Launches Concierge Service at Port of Spain Airport

Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort has launched a new concierge service at Piarco International Airport (POS) in Port of Spain on the island of Trinidad. Guests will be met by a staff member in Trinidad where they will then be helped with their connecting flights to A.N.R. Robinson International Airport in Tobago.

Virgin Atlantic to add new flight to Tobago from London in March

Virgin Atlantic has announced that it will launch a new service between London Gatwick Airport and Tobago in the Caribbean, briefly stopping in St Lucia along the way. The route will commence in March, 2015 and will be operate on an Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 33 upper class, 48 premium economy and 185 economy seats.

British Airways will be adding another flight to Tobago to its 2015 schedule due to an increase in demand. New luxury resort to be built on L'Anse Fourmi Estate in Tobago

Planning permission for a brand new luxury leisure resort on the L'Anse Fourmi Estate on the island of Tobago has been granted by the Trinidad and Tobago authorities. The 300-acre estate boasts more than three miles of coastline and when completed, the resort will have 360 rooms, and an array of facilities including restaurants, bars, a spa, a fitness centre, tennis courts, a swimming pool, a conference centre, and a small marina.
