magical soufriere

Some say you cannot really get to genuinely “know” true St Lucia without travelling a bit south, towards the heritage site of Soufriere. And this is the only tour that does exactly that, take you to St Lucia’s most mesmerising places in the breathtaking south coast of Soufriere. This tour is truly magical as it shows you a side of the island or rather many sites of the island that you would otherwise miss… Fully immerge in this wonderful full day tour and let the winding roads take you to the most amazing places in Soufriere.

Begin with a magnificent drive down the West Coast as you pass through the charming fishing villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries. Let your eyes feast in the amazing and changing landscape that will appear before your eyes as you drive through amazing bananas and coconut plantations. Contemplate at leisure the amazing sight that supposes seeing all the fruit and produced being made ready for supermarkets worldwide, including your one at home.

As you go along these winding roads, through the most beautiful of tropical vegetation you will be greeted by outstanding views of the twin Piton Mountains as you begin to descend into the old and charming French town of Soufriere. As you start to see the rolling hills dotted with houses this is a sight that will perhaps remind you of European Mediterranean villages …only with the pretty peculiarities of tropical nature with its blooming vegetation.

Your first stop will be at the amazing Sulphur Springs where you will find the world’s first and only Drive-in Volcano. Here you will be given a fabulous tour of its bubbly and steamy sulphur springs as you enjoy the majestic sight of the Pitons rising in the background against the tranquil landscape of the blue Caribbean Sea.

Continue towards the charming Fond Doux Estate where you’ll be getting off to enjoy a walk along the fascinating meandering trails on this working plantation. The paths will take you through a tropical fruit garden and past he charming 19th century Plantation Great House where you’ll enjoy the taste of fresh fruit and a refreshing tropical drink.

Travel onwards to the next and final stop which will be at the magnificent Toraille Waterfalls, where you’ll be astounded at the imposing and majestic sight of water falling over a 50 ft high hillside and gloriously cascading into a pool right at the centre of a beautiful garden.  From here a guide will take you through a wonderful nature trail leading to this natural pool so that you have the chance for a quick dip before joining the crew at the bus who will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Come along this unique and grand tour across the beautiful town of Soufriere, where you will get the unique chance of seeing St Lucia from a totally different perspective, with the many nature treats it has to offer.
