Puerto Aventuras Fishing Trip

Duration: Half Day

Puerto Aventuras Fishing Trip

A holiday in Mexico conjures up images of swimming in crystal clear turquoise waters and relaxing on beautiful white sandy beaches fringed by swaying palm trees, and Puerto Aventuras is no exception. Offering all this and more, this exclusive resort is ideal for both sun seekers and adventurous travellers, who can embark on numerous activities both above and below the water. This tour will enable you to experience the thrills of game fishing as you venture across the Caribbean Sea with the experts. Who knows what you will catch!

Situated on the stunning Mexican Caribbean Coast, the Mayan Riviera (or Riviera Maya) is one of Mexico’s most popular tourist spots. This beautiful stretch of coastline runs along part of the Yucatan Peninsula between Cancun and Tulum, and is renowned for its pristine white sandy beaches, vibrant coral reefs and crystal clear turquoise waters, which are rich in marine life. The strong current from the Gulf of Mexico brings in a wide variety of fish and the reliable Mexican Caribbean weather ensures good fishing conditions all year round.

A catch is virtually guaranteed as the warm tropical waters provide the perfect hunting ground for Barracuda, Grouper, Bonita, Red Snapper, Amberjack, King Mackerel and Wahoo year round, whilst big game fish such as Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna and Dorado are abundant from March to June. Billfish (sailfish and marlin) are caught and then released to avoid depleting the local fish stocks, but you can still have your photo taken with your prize catch beforehand to show off back home.

The Puerto Aventuras resort is built around an impressive marina, which is surrounded by restaurants and shops and home to dozens of luxury yachts, sport fishing boats and sailboats of all shapes and sizes. Here you will discover Riviera Maya fishing at its best. The Mayan people have been fishing these waters for centuries and still do, along with sport fishermen from around the world.

One advantage of fishing from Puerto Aventuras is that the best fishing spots are all very close to the marina, just off the coast of the Riviera Maya, so you don’t waste precious time travelling too far. This also enables inexperienced sailors to gain fantastic views of the coastline as we pass paradise beaches, lush mangroves and fascinating Mayan ruins. Whether you are an experienced fisherman or a novice on your first fishing trip, this exhilarating adventure at sea is an experience not to be missed.
