Puerto Aventuras Fishing Trip

Situated on the stunning Mexican Caribbean Coast, the Mayan Riviera (or Riviera Maya) is one of Mexico’s most popular tourist spots. This beautiful stretch of coastline runs along part of the Yucatan Peninsula between Cancun and Tulum, and is renowned for its pristine white sandy beaches, vibrant coral reefs and crystal clear turquoise waters, which are rich in marine life. The strong current from the Gulf of Mexico brings in a wide variety of fish and the reliable Mexican Caribbean weather ensures good fishing conditions all year round.

A catch is virtually guaranteed as the warm tropical waters provide the perfect hunting ground for Barracuda, Grouper, Bonita, Red Snapper, Amberjack, King Mackerel and Wahoo year round, whilst big game fish such as Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna and Dorado are abundant from March to June. Billfish (sailfish and marlin) are caught and then released to avoid depleting the local fish stocks, but you can still have your photo taken with your prize catch beforehand to show off back home.

The Puerto Aventuras resort is built around an impressive marina, which is surrounded by restaurants and shops and home to dozens of luxury yachts, sport fishing boats and sailboats of all shapes and sizes. Here you will discover Riviera Maya fishing at its best. The Mayan people have been fishing these waters for centuries and still do, along with sport fishermen from around the world.

One advantage of fishing from Puerto Aventuras is that the best fishing spots are all very close to the marina, just off the coast of the Riviera Maya, so you don’t waste precious time travelling too far. This also enables inexperienced sailors to gain fantastic views of the coastline as we pass paradise beaches, lush mangroves and fascinating Mayan ruins. Whether you are an experienced fisherman or a novice on your first fishing trip, this exhilarating adventure at sea is an experience not to be missed.

Mexico becomes world’s eighth most popular tourist destination in UNWTO report

Mexico has become the eighth most popular tourist destination in the world, according to UNWTO. The country recorded 35 million visitors in 2016, which was a nine per cent increase in international arrivals. Hard Rock Hotels in Mexico and Punta Cana launch Unlimited Golf

Unlimited Golf has been launched at Hard Rock Hotels in Cancun, the Riviera Maya in Mexico and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The golf package is available as part of the all-inclusive experience at the hotels, and guests can enjoy as many games of golf as they like, as well as other all-inclusive activities such as spa treatments, excursions and gifts from the hotel’s shops.
