Jungle Crossing

Duration: Half Day

jungle crossing

Mexico has an abundance of natural beauty so instead of spending your entire holiday at a poolside how about you join us on the Jungle Crossing tour where you can explore several natural attractions. The tour begins with an exciting journey into the heart of the jungle on a ‘Unimog’. This vehicle is a 4x4 all terrain Mercedes Benz that is well equipped to take on the journey across the jungle safely and comfortably. The ride takes you to a small Mayan family community called Rancho San Felipe where the Nohoch Nah Chich cenote system is located. This is actually the second longest underground river system in the world!

This underground fresh water river offers unbelievable snorkelling opportunities; swim deep inside the caverns and observe the magnificent stalactites and stalagmites formations. Snorkel gear will be provided to explore these extraordinary caves. Then head on to ‘Heaven’s Gate’; a glorious cave entrance to other portion of this remarkable underground water system. There are even hammocks for your relaxation...yes there is heaven on earth!

Next it is time to satisfy those appetites and if they were not open before they will be after you enter the Ranch San Felipe community where the women have prepared a traditional Mayan lunch for your enjoyment. After lunch there is a visit to a ranch which is inhabited by a small Mayan family who have been living in this charming jungle location for the past three decades. Enjoy the beautiful forest scenery before heading off to enjoy amazing beach scenery.

The excursion continues to the untouched bay of Punta Soliman which is close to the ancient city of Tulum. At Punta Soliman you can participate in a sea kayak expedition to a wonderful coral reef. Navigate through warm delightful Caribbean waters and then enter these pristine waters which are ideal for snorkelling. Again snorkelling equipment is provided so no worries! Visibility is great to observe the coral reef filled with an array of beautiful tropical fish and other spectacular forms of marine life. This unique combination of adventure activities would be a memorable experience so be sure to bring your friends, family and cameras of course.

Tour includes:
• Round trip transportation
• Entrances fees
• Meals and beverages included
• Equipment for all activities
