New Mayan Park attraction to open in Cancun in early 2018

A brand new Mayan Park attraction is scheduled to open to visitors in the Cancun Hotel Zone in early 2018. The park will have replicas of Mayan architecture, as well as fun rides including zip lines, and a boat trip through the stunning Nichupte lagoon. Visitors will learn about traditional Mayan culture, and they will have access to the Mayan Museum of Cancun and the Ruins of Rey.

El Cid Resorts to open all-inclusive Ventus at Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort Cancun Riviera Maya

This month will see the opening of the new Ventus at Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort Cancun Riviera Maya in Mexico. Opening under the El Cid Resorts hotel group, the beachfront property will have 290 luxury suites with private balconies, as well as a full-service spa, two infinity pools, a children’s pool, a large fitness centre and multiple restaurants.

Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula joins the Spanish-American Tourism Caves Association

Three Mexico golf hotels to battle it out in 2017 World Golf Awards in November

Organisers of the World Travel Awards are now busy preparing for the 2017 World Golf Awards that will take place in Spain in November. Three resorts in Quintana Roo in Mexico are among the finalists for Mexico’s Best Golf Hotel 2017. Fairmont Mayakoba in the Riviera Maya, Moon Palace in Cancun and Playa Azul in Cozumel will all battle it out for the prestigious title next month.

Rancho San Lucas resort and Greg Norman golf course to open in Los Cabos in December

The Rancho San Lucas resort community will open to golfers and guests in Los Cabos in Mexico this winter. The development has been designed by the golf legend Greg Norman, and it will have a golf course and beachfront estates, and private residences that overlook the course and the sea. There will also be three hotels including Rancho San Lucas, Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas and Grand Solmar the Residences.

Palladium Hotel Group set to open two new luxury resorts in Mexico

Two new five-star resorts are currently being constructed side-by-side along the unspoilt sands of Costa Mujeres on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The family-friendly Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa and the adults-only TRS Coral Hotel – plus a village with restaurants, shops and other facilities – are due to open next autumn 2018.

Seadust Cancun Family Resort opens in heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone

The Seadust Cancun Family Resort opened its doors to guests last month in Mexico. The beachfront, all-inclusive hotel is located in the Hotel Zone in Cancun and has 505 guest rooms and suites, as well as three infinity swimming pools including an adults-only pool, the Zenserenz Spa, seven restaurants and 11 bars that are situated within indoor and outdoor settings.

Puerto Vallarta looks set to receive another record-breaking year in tourism

Puerto Vallarta’s tourism industry is looking set to welcome a record-breaking year after receiving its highest ever number of tourists in the first six months of 2017. According to the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board, the resort city in Mexico has recorded a six per cent rise in hotel occupancy during this period, and international passenger arrivals have increased by 12 per cent.

The World Travel Awards hosted its Latin America Ceremony 2017 this weekend at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in Mexico. The glitzy awards ceremony celebrated the best of the best in the region’s travel industry, and it was attended by hospitality leaders and government officials, and was compered by Mexican host Max Villegas from E! Entertainment Television and Estilo DF.

Adults-only Temptation Cancun Resort reopens following refurbishment project

Temptation Cancun Resort has reopened its doors to guests following an extensive renovation programme and rebuild. The design of the adults-only resort in Mexico was led by Canadian designer Karim Rashid, and the property has 430 guest rooms and suites that feature “sensual minimalism” style and bright colours and boast private balconies and terraces.
