Paradisus Los Cabos to officially open in Mexico on 23rd December, 2016

Melia Hotels International has announced that the Melia Cabo Real will become Paradisus Los Cabos on 23rd December, 2016. The rebranded hotel will be the fourth Paradisus-branded hotel in Mexico, and it will have 350 guest rooms with services including private butlers and a Family Concierge, plus facilities including four swimming pools, six restaurants, a fitness centre, and the Paradisus by Melia signature YHI Spa.

Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya to open to guests in Mexico next week

The Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya is scheduled to open its doors this month, marking Hyatt’s first Andaz-branded hotel in Mexico. The luxury eco-resort sits on 590 acres of oceanfront land north of Playa del Carmen, and it will have 214 guest rooms, including 41 suites, that are spread across 28 buildings, which have been inspired by more than 200 bird species native to Mayakoba. Resort facilities include the 10,000-square-foot Naum Spa, restaurants, and a pool.

Lizzie Cole Guerrero has been appointed as the new Director and Chief Executive of the Cancun Convention & Visitors Bureau. After recently working as the Marketing Director at Riviera Maya Destination Marketing Office, Cole brings 14 years of experience in tourism and marketing to the new role, and she will be responsible for the development of promotional strategies and air connectivity.

Melia Cabo Real in Mexico to reopen as Paradisus Los Cabos in December

Melia Cabo Real in Los Cabos in Mexico will be rebranded as Paradisus Los Cabos next month. The Spanish hotel group Meliá Hotels International announced that the property has completed its $35 million refurbishment programme and will be the ninth Paradisus resort and the fourth in Mexico. The hotel has 350 guest rooms, including 28 swim-up suites, 30 Family Concierge suites, and 98 Royal Service suites, as well as an adults-only section.

Hyatt Place Celaya is the latest hotel in Hyatt's Mexico collection

Hyatt Hotels and Resorts is celebrating the opening of Hyatt Place Celaya. The hotel is the fifth Hyatt Place hotel to open in Mexico, and it is a joint partnership between Hyatt and Grupo Hermosillo. Located on La Cano Avenue next to the Galerias Celaya shopping mall, the property has 145 guest rooms, as well as the 24/7 Gallery Menu & Market, a swimming pool, and a 24-hour StayFit Gym.

Grand Velas Riviera Maya in Mexico launches brand new make-your-own ceviche bar

Grand Velas Riviera Maya in Mexico has launched a brand new service for guests, with the opening of a new ceviche bar that allows guests to make their own ceviche. The bar will be open every day at the resort’s Azul restaurant, and guests can choose from a wide selection of fresh salmon, tuna, shrimp, snail, octopus, squid, white fish, and even fried grasshoppers.

Hyatt Ziva Cancun introduced Turquoize Butlers to adults-only section

The adults-only section of the Hyatt Ziva resort in Cancun has revealed a new butler service to its features. Guests staying at the Turquoize section of the all-inclusive hotel can enjoy the dedicated service of the Turquoize Butlers, who will be on hand to serve them throughout their stay. The property’s facilities include lagoon-style swimming pools with swim-up bars, an adults-only pool, and a luxury full-service spa.
