Negril Shopping and Sunset

Duration: 3 Hours

negril shopping and sunset

Join us for the most spectacular shopping extravaganza in Negril where you will be taken to the best local markets and most prestigious shops to give you the widest choice imaginable! From the best stalls with its beckoning sellers to the more international shopping centres and boutiques; on this trip you’ll have the chance to truly browse around, compare and take home only those items that you consider the best and at the best price!

We take you to visit some of the best of duty free shops in the region, such as the first and only shopping mall in Negril: The Time Square Mall. This fabulous centre accounts with 5 different stores offering the best selection of watches and jewellery (including some from Chopard and Mikimoto) as well as a wide collection of gifts and accessories, specialising in an assortment of pens and writing instruments. Here you will also find the only cigar store in Negril at Cigar World which boasts a walk-in humidor and sell authentic Habanos and a selection of other world famous Cuban cigars.

We then take you to the best local craft market in Negril so that you can indulge in what could be one of the best browsing experiences of your Jamaica holiday! We head south into the Negril Village to make a stop at the Negril Craft Market with the widest centre for crafts in the area. Walk along a collection of shacks and stalls selling all kind of items, including jewellery, local art, wood carvings, the ever-popular Jamaican flags and a bunch of Bob Marley memorabilia with rasta caps, bracelets and ganja pipes.

You will find all sorts of gifts and souvenirs to bring home so if anything you will be spoilt for choice. It is here that you will find the world famous Blue Mountain Coffee, the best selection of Jamaican Rum and many other souvenirs at great local prices. We must warn you however that this is a place where haggling is a must s our advice is never to settle for the given price and start by offering half of the price quoted. Although vendors might seem aggressive at times if you haggle enough we’re certain you’ll end up leaving with the best bargains in the island.

And for this shopping tour’s finale we head west towards the island’s idyllic west end area to watch its beautiful sunsets. Negril’s West End is a rocky limestone plateau that rises south of Negril Sout River and stretches out for several miles. This is Jamaica’s hippest and most chilled out zone as it was the place discovered and chosen by the 60s hippies to stay and “mellow out”.

The amazing coral cliff top is indented with coves that are idyllic for swimming in these 15 feet of crystal- clear blue waters. Watching the sunset in this breathtakingly beautiful area is an awe-inspiring experience, especially in this region which was also the setting for films like ’20,000 Leagues under the Sea’, ‘Papillion’ and the very first James Bond film of ‘Dr No’.

A day to combine great shopping experiences, mingling with the locals and ending it with a relaxing stroll at a panoramic location!
