Grenada Circumnavigation Tour

Duration: Half Day

Grenada Circumnavigation Tour

There is no doubt that sailing is one of the best ways to discover Grenada’s breathtaking coastal beauty in comfort and style. This memorable cruise will enable you to explore one of the country’s most beautiful uninhabited islands as we cruise to Sandy Island, located approximately two miles off the northern coast of mainland Grenada. Once there, you can while away the hours relaxing on the pristine white sandy beach, or venture into the calm aquamarine waters for an unforgettable snorkeling adventure. These are just some of the highlights of this idyllic tropical escape.

Starting from the lagoon in St George's, Grenada’s capital, the tour begins as you climb aboard the luxurious Shadowfax yacht before sailing out onto the crystal clear azure waters of the Caribbean Sea. Feel the sun on your face and the wind in your hair as we cruise along Grenada’s scenic west coastline in a clockwise direction to the northern tip of the mainland.

You can see the beautiful Sandy Island coming into view as we travel several miles away from the shore, and you are soon met with dazzling white sands, calm turquoise waters and lush tropical palms swaying in the breeze. For several glorious hours, this is your very own piece of paradise. Spend time relaxing on the beach, swimming in the sea or exploring the island. The island’s lush tropical forest is inhabited by an abundance of wildlife, and the remains of an old plantation house can also be seen here.

If you want to discover the natural beauty under the sea, Sandy Island offers some of the best snorkeling in Grenada. Its small, sheltered lagoon is ideal for beginners, who will find an abundance of marine life in the warm tropical waters. The vibrant coral reefs are inhabited by hundreds of brightly-coloured exotic fish, as well as sea turtles, spider crabs, stingrays, barracuda, seahorses and many other exciting creatures and aquatic plants. Exploring this magical underwater world will be one of the highlights of your holiday in Grenada.

Departing from Sandy Island several hours later, sit back and relax with a rum punch or cold beer from the open bar as we leisurely cruise back to St George. This time we sail along Grenada’s east coast so you can enjoy yet more of the island’s magnificent coastal scenery on the Atlantic side.
