Tropical Storm

Duration: Full Day

tropical storm

A holiday in the Caribbean conjures up images of paradise: calm aquamarine waters gently lapping the shores of white sandy beaches lined by coconut palms. The Dominican Republic offers all this and more. Marvel at some of the Caribbean’s most breathtaking scenery as you sit back and enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the elegant Tropical Storm catamaran. Sail along the Dominican’s stunning East Coast, stopping on the way for swimming and snorkeling in tranquil lagoons. One of the best tours available, this is a wonderful way to unwind and have fun the Caribbean way.

One of the Dominican people’s most favourite pastimes is taking it easy, and this is exactly what you will be doing on this tour. Climb aboard the Tropical Storm catamaran and enjoy a day of pure relaxation as you set sail down the beautiful eastern coastline around Punta Cana. Regarded as the ‘jewel of the East’, this is one of the Dominican’s most beautiful and popular regions, blessed with miles of powdery white-sand beaches such as Playa Bavaro, one of the best in Caribbean. Let your cares float away as you cruise across the sparkling turquoise waters, feeling the sun on your face and the wind in your hair. A holiday in the Dominican Republic doesn’t get much better than this.

One of the highlights of the trip is a visit to the Astron wreck, a huge, 120m sunken freighter which lies in shallow water off the coast of Punta Cana. It sank in 1979 and part of it is still visible above the water today. This popular dive site hosts an abundance of marine life from both the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean, including schools of brightly-coloured tropical fish, rays, barracuda and yellowtail snapper. The vibrant coral species, sponges and sea fans are also a site to behold. Snorkeling equipment is provided on the trip and instructions are available for beginners if required, so jump into the alluring waters and discover the beauty of this majestic tropical aquarium for yourself.

We then cruise onwards to a beautiful natural swimming pool, where you will have time to relax, swim or plunge into the water on a huge inflatable waterslide. As we sail back to shore, enjoy cocktails, music and dancing with the friendly crew onboard, who will go out of their way to entertain you and make your day as enjoyable as possible. This excursion is great fun for all ages!
