Animal Adventure Tour

Duration: Half Day / Full Day

animal adventure tour

Year after year, tourists are drawn to the Dominican Republic for its beautiful beaches, diverse landscapes and spectacular wildlife. There are plenty of opportunities to spot birds and animals here, one of the most popular being wildlife safaris in the national parks, but few places enable you to enjoy close encounters. Take the family to Animal Adventure Park during your holiday in the Dominican Republic and enjoy a fantastic day or half day of interaction with its creatures. Bird displays, sea lion shows, feeding the tigers and swimming with sharks are just some of the highlights.

Located on the edge of the ocean at Cabeza de Toro, approximately 45 minutes away from Punta Cana on the East Coast, Animal Adventure Park is a mini zoo which offers a variety of opportunities to interact with its birds, animals and reptiles – both on land and in the water. Although small, there is plenty to see and do here. Watch the trained birds and sea lions perform in their very own shows, visit the farm and feed the tigers. You will even get a chance to stroke them! At an extra cost you can also swim with the sharks and sea lions, and snorkel amongst the coral reefs.

Both adults and children will love the ‘touch pool’ a small, star-shaped pool full of starfish, sea urchins, stingrays, sea turtles and other fascinating marine species. Have fun holding the different sea creatures and learning all about them. Don’t worry, they’re all harmless! Snakes, monkeys, goats, donkeys, parrots and iguanas are just some of the other animals, birds and reptiles you are likely to see. Touching and getting up close to the park’s beautiful creatures is one of the main attractions for visitors. You can even become an animal trainer for the day! Your photo will be taken with different birds and animals, capturing the wonderful memories for you to take away with you.

Feel free to relax and soak up the sun on the beautiful white sandy beach, or on the hammocks in the trees, in between visiting the animals and watching the shows. A day of fun and learning for all the family, this unforgettable excursion is a must for animal lovers.
