Sarapiqui River Rafting

Duration: Half Day

sarapiqui river rafting

Costa Rica is renowned for its excellent white water rafting opportunities, from CLASS I to V rapids, attracting adventure lovers from all over the world. However, for those looking for a gentle river rafting experience on their holiday in Costa Rica, rather than the adrenalin-fuelled rides that many people crave, this excursion on the scenic Sarapiqui River is perfect.

Sarapiqui River is a rafters dream, offering natural white water, challenging rapids and crystal clear pools to swim in. This river float trip has no rapids (CLASS II), however, and is a safe, easy paddle along one of the most scenic parts of the river − perfect for bird watchers and nature lovers alike.

The section of the river you’ll raft down flows past dense, tropical jungle, where you are likely to spot an abundance of native wildlife, including trogons, iguanas, sloths, toucans, turtles, butterflies, monkeys, river otters and a wide array of bird species. Costa Rica is renowned for its unique bio-diversity, and this particular ecosystem is no exception.

Enrich your experience of Costa Rica by getting close to nature and enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of the river and the rainforest. What to bring: Sun block, swimsuit, towel and a change of clothes. Length of tour: Full day.
