Located in Santo Domingo de Heredia, INBioparque is a non-profit environmental theme park that aims to educate visitors and promote awareness of the world’s biodiversity and the importance of conserving our environment.
This sensory experience, set in 20 acres of botanical gardens and parkland, combines interpreted nature trails with multimedia technology, enabling visitors to experience living samples of Costa Rica's biodiversity, through four different ecosystems: tropical humid forest, tropical dry forest, Central Valley native forest and the Wetland.
Learn about our planets’ exciting biodiversity, along with research and development of new products, including medicines, cosmetics, and nutritional and agricultural products. Visitors will also learn about Costa Rica's conservation efforts and the creation of national parks, biological reserves and other protected areas which are vital to our environment.
A guided tour will take you to see and learn about all sorts of unique, local wildlife, including butterflies, three-toed sloths, white-tailed deer, iguanas, caimans, turtles, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, insects and many more. Permanent, live exhibits will also show you tarantulas, poison dart frogs, bullet ants, bees and other native species.
And don’t forget INBioparque’s lagoon, an underwater glass viewing station in the wetlands exhibit. See and learn all about the freshwater fish living in Costa Rica’s wetland. This interactive experience with nature will certainly teach you something about Costa Rica that you didn’t know before.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced that it will managed a luxury home complex next to its recently renovated hotel in Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica. The Four Seasons Private Residences Prieta Bay at Peninsula Papagayo will have 20 homes and will be located on 17 acres of land next to the 182-room Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica hotel. The homes will break ground in February, 2018.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has announced the launch of a new direct flight between Amsterdam and San Jose in Costa Rica. The airline will operate the flights twice a week throughout the winter season, and it will add a third service in January, 2018. The carrier hasn’t operated flights to Costa Rica since 1998, but decided to reintroduce the route due to high demand.
The leading Miami-based hospitality and residential property firm, Gencom, has announced that the Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo has been acquired by one of its affiliates, Papagayo Partners Ltd. In a joint partnership with local real estate developer Sinergo Development Group S.A, it is the second acquisition for Gencom, following the purchase of the 1,400-acre Peninsula Papagayo and Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica last year.
