Plantation Tropical Spectacular's Roots and Rhythms
Duration: Half Day
The laid-back island of Barbados is not only renowned for its beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal clear azure waters, but also for its strong sense of history and culture, great food and, of course, vibrant nightlife. The spectacular Root & Rhythm show at The Plantation Theatre combines all these attributes in a fantastic dinner and cabaret stage show, giving visitors a wonderful and genuine representation of West Indian culture.
Enjoy a fantastic evening of entertainment for all the family as the lively, interactive Root & Rhythm show explores Barbados’ fascinating colonial history and musical heritage through limbo dancing, fire eating, singing and music, combined with an authentic Bajan buffet. Join in the party atmosphere and let the cocktails flow as the steel band gets your feet tapping through dinner, which consists of typical Bajan cuisine – a spicy combination of African, Asian and European influences. A range of foods is available to excite every taste bud, including spicy seafood, tropical fruits and vegetables, salads and a range of desserts, washed down with Barbados’ own island rum cocktails and fresh fruit juices. This is undoubtedly one of the best Bajan buffets on the island.
You won’t need any encouragement to get up on your feet and dancing as the lively sounds of reggae, pop and calypso music fill the air, followed by a spectacular dance show after dinner. Colourful, vibrant costumes and fantastic choreography all contribute to making this upbeat show a night to remember. If you like a challenge, there are plenty of opportunities for the audience to join in the fun. As the night draws to an end, you can sit back and enjoy listening to typical Caribbean music, performed by the popular Plantation Band.
This cultural extravaganza sums up what a holiday in Barbados is all about – fun, vibrancy, music, dancing and fantastic local cuisine. Prepare for an unforgettable Caribbean night on an unforgettable island. The tour package includes return transfers, buffet dinner, show and open bar.
