The Grenadine Islands

Duration: Half Day

the grenadine islands

The Caribbean is renowned for its stunning paradise islands, where you will find secluded white sandy beaches, swaying palms and crystal clear, turquoise waters. If you want to explore as many islands as possible during your holiday, day trips are the perfect solution. Sit back and relax as you cruise from island to island to see what each has to offer. This particular tour will take you on a day trip to the beautiful Grenadine Islands, which lie between St Lucia and Grenada at the lower end of the Caribbean chain.

Located between the tropic of Cancer and the Equator, the Grenadine Islands stretch almost 50 miles south towards Grenada. There are more than 30 islands and cays in total, of which the lush volcanic island of St. Vincent is the largest, covering a combined area of around 150 square miles.

Your tour will begin by flying into the mountainous Union Island, where you will board a yacht or catamaran and cruise leisurely cruise across the sparkling Caribbean Sea. Hopping from island to island, you will get the chance to visit some of the Caribbean’s most beautiful gems, including Mayreau, Bequia, Palm Island, Canouan and Mustique. You will also visit the uninhabited Tobago Cays islets, which lie south of Canouan. Here you will find some of the most spectacular coral reefs in the world. These warm protected waters are rich with native marine life, offering wonderful opportunities for snorkeling and scuba diving. This tropical paradise is just one of the highlights of the day.

The contrasts between some of the islands’ landscapes are quite diverse, varying from secluded bays and coves to rolling hills and forest; rocky shores and miles of sandy beaches to dramatic, fertile valleys, where banana and coconut plantations thrive. All the Grenadine islands are areas of spectacular natural beauty, just waiting to be explored.

Enjoy a memorable day relaxing on some of the best beaches in the Caribbean; snorkelling amongst colourful reefs, swimming in the warm azure waters and sunbathing on powdery white sands. You will also enjoy a delicious buffet lunch and refreshing beverages before reaching Barbados, where your tour ends.

A visit to the Grenadine islands is something quite special, so make your Caribbean holiday one to remember.
