Barefoot Sailing Cruise
Duration: Half Day
Make the most of your holiday in the Bahamas by enjoying a full day of sailing on the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Marvel at the scenic beauty all around you as we cruise past deserted coral islands and cays, each boasting stunning white sandy beaches lined with swaying palms and lush tropical vegetation. This relaxing Caribbean cruise is the perfect way to unwind and leave your cares behind you.
Made up of 700 islands and over 2000 cays, the Bahamas is renowned for its breathtaking beaches, surrounded by sparkling turquoise lagoons and spectacular coral reefs. Because this beautiful island chain is divided by the Tropic of Cancer, the country is also blessed with a subtropical climate, making it one of the most popular sailing destinations in the world.
Relax on the deck, in the sun or under the shade, listening to soothing music as we cruise gently along the water. The only other sounds you hear will be the billowing sails and the rush of the waves as your yacht or catamaran glides through the ocean. Look out for tropical birds flying overhead, as well as other beautiful native wildlife. You may be lucky enough to see dolphins or sea turtles on your trip.
Enjoy a sumptuous picnic lunch, accompanied with soft drinks and island rum punch, once we anchor, followed by the opportunity to snorkel in the inviting crystal clear blue waters. Explore the natural treasures of Bahamas’s majestic underwater world, where the colours and diversity of the native marine life will surprise and delight you.
Explore beautiful coral reefs, swarming with hundreds of tropical fish such as blue-green parrot fish, clown fish, yellowtail snapper, vibrant blue tangs, sergeant majors and Nassau groupers. You are also likely to see eagle rays, moray eels, octopus, spiny lobsters, starfish, sea turtles and many more exciting species swimming around these fragile habitats. Snorkelling gear is provided.
Back on dry land, you will get the chance to explore one of the Bahamas’s deserted paradise islands. Sunbathe on the pristine white sandy beach or venture into the alluring waters for more swimming and snorkeling before we sail back to Nassau. This unforgettable adventure out on the open sea will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your holiday in the Bahamas.
