Deep Sea Fishing
Duration: Half Day
The Bahamas is renowned for being one of the most popular sportfishing destinations in the world, offering easy access to some of the best fishing regions. Nassau, its capital, offers one of the best fishing holidays you could imagine, so why not take a deep sea fishing tour during your holiday in the Caribbean and see what you can catch.
Less than a mile off the coast of Paradise Island and the historic city of Nassau on New Providence Island, the clear shallow waters surrounding these tropical islands opens up to deep ocean, where depths of 1,000 feet and more provide plenty of deep sea action and ideal hunting grounds for numerous fish species such as Wahoo, Blue and White Marlin, Mackerel, Sailfish, Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi (Dolphin) and many more, depending on the time of year.
Your experienced Bahamian captain and crew will ensure that you have an exciting and memorable day, providing plenty of fun and entertainment on your journey, which is an enjoyable boat ride in itself out on the sparkling Caribbean Sea. Not only will they answer your questions and teach you about the various fish species you can catch, and how you will catch them, but they will also show you some of the best fishing grounds in the area − known only by the locals!
Prepare yourself for an exhilarating battle as you wrestle with the fish on the other end of your rod and attempt to reel it in. Many of the fish, such as the Yellow Fin Tuna which range in size from 20 to 80 lbs, are extremely strong and will certainly test your tackle. Half the excitement is wondering what you’ll actually catch on the day, and savouring the taste of fresh fish once it has been prepared. Whatever you catch, you’ll have plenty of fun and great memories to take away with you. This tour offers deep sea fishing at its best.
Half day and full day fishing charters can be arranged, which you can combine with other activities such as snorkeling, a beach picnic or reef fishing − time permitting.
