Duration: Half Day
Forming part of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean, the paradise island of Antigua is blessed with some of the most beautiful beaches and scenery in the world. Whichever coast you visit, you will greeted by tranquil bays, powdery soft sands, crystal clear aquamarine waters and natural harbours that proudly retain much of the island’s history.
This unforgettable adventure tour will reveal some of Antigua’s highlights as we explore remote locations on the North Coast. Alternatively, you can choose to take a faster and more exhilarating powerboat tour of the West Coast of the island.
As we make our way along Antigua’s spectacular North Coast, you will spend approximately 5 ½ hours learning about the history, geography and ecology of almost every inlet you pass. From the unspoilt North Sound Marine Park to historic colonial towns and harbours, six different adventures are available to easily accessible and remote locations that many tour companies do not cover. Dickenson Bay, Parham Harbour, Beggars Point, Long Bay and Blue Waters Beach are just some of the highlights of the North Coast.
This beautiful area is also dotted with small reefs and islands that provide some of the best snorkeling opportunities in Antigua. Grab your masks and fins and discover the beauty and diversity of the Caribbean’s magical underwater world. As you explore the vibrant coral reefs you will come across hundreds of fascinating marine species of all sizes, shapes and colours. Tropical fish, stingrays, sea turtles, moray eels, nurse sharks, barracuda and jacks are just a tiny selection of Antigua’s abundant undersea treasures.
For a faster-pace of sightseeing, you can opt for the powerboat tour of Antigua’s West Coast. The trip includes a visit to the beautiful English Harbour, where you will find the historic Nelson’s Dockyard, the only working Georgian dockyard in the world. Other West Coast highlights include Falmouth Harbour, Rendezvous Bay, Windward Bay and Shirley Heights. Rich in history as well as natural beauty, this popular part of the island is certainly worth exploring during your holiday in Antigua.
In addition to these tours, day cruises to Barbuda (Antigua’s sister island) are available on certain days of the week, as well as other trips such as "Round the Island Historical Tour." The choices are endless.
