Marriott starts work on new Antigua beach resort

International hotel brand Marriott will open its first resort on the Caribbean island of Antigua. The new five-star Coconut Beach resort – part of the brand's Autograph Collection – broke ground at the beginning of December and is slated to open in early 2019.

Ocean Point Resort in Antigua revamps and goes all inclusive

The Ocean Point Resort on the Caribbean island of Antigua has new management and has undergone significant changes. The restaurant and bar has been completely revamped, the resort now offers an all-inclusive plan and all rooms are being updated with Italian bed linens and remodelled bathrooms.

Antigua and Barbuda named "Caribbean's Most Romantic Destination" again

Antigua and Barbuda has been named as the "Caribbean's Most Romantic Destination" at the 2016 World Travel Awards Caribbean and North American Gala Ceremony. The twin-island nation scooped the prestigious award for the second year in a row at the annual ceremony, and it strengthened its position as one of the world's leading honeymoon and wedding destinations.

Robert de Niro's Barbuda resort gets green light for construction

Robert de Niro's exclusive Paradise Found resort project on the Caribbean island of Barbuda has been given the go ahead for construction in the New Year. The new resort will incorporate the site of the old K Club that closed in 2004, renaming the beach after Princess Diana who stayed at the former hotel, as well as adding a new marina, air strip and public access.
